GOOSEBUMPS: THE VANISHING Trailer Introduces Us to Fresh Horror Mysteries

Goosebumps season one (2023) is something that you may have missed in the fray of a zillion things coming out. But, for us ‘80s and ‘90s kids, the Disney+ series brought the beloved book anthology’s aura to life for a solid live-action adaptation. Season one chronicles the events surrounding the Biddle House and brings in some familiar elements from several books. We got everything from deadly cameras to Kanduu a.k.a. Slappy the Dummy through the story of a group of high school kids in 1994. Now, season two of Goosebumps, which is called Goosebumps: The Vanishing is here with a trailer that picks up decades later as a new group explores dark mysteries. The trailer debuted at New York Comic Con 2024.

It looks like we are getting a few stories adapted here, including “Monster Blood,” “The Haunted Car,” “The Girl Who Cried Monster,” “Welcome to Camp Nightmare,” and the infamous “Stay Out of the Basement.” The first season did a brilliant job of weaving many stories together. And it looks like we will get the same here.

Here is a synopsis for Goosebumps: The Vanishing to accompany that season two trailer:

Goosebumps: The Vanishing begins when twins Cece and Devin Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad. A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Cece, Devin and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

This season stars David Schwimmer as Anthony, the father of the aforementioned twins. He looks rather disturbed and unsettled, so I cannot wait to figure out his deal.
