This Sarlacc-O’-Lantern from STAR WARS EVERYDAY Is Perfect for Halloween

If you love Star Wars deeply, you know its stories tend to find their way into your everyday life. A new book from Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano, with crafts by Kelly Knox (a name Nerdist fans know well) and recipes by Elena P. Craig, focuses on making the galaxy far, far away part of your daily life. Aptly named Star Wars Everyday, the lifestyle book is a 12-month guide to party planning, craft, and cooking with Star Wars flair. Today, Nerdist has a exclusive look at two activities from the book: a Sarlacc-O’-Lantern and a Hearts of Kyber necklace.

Since Halloween approaches, let’s peek at the Sarlacc-O’-Lantern first. You’ll use an orange craft foam pumpkin to bring the beast from Tatooine to life. That means this sarlacc can return again and again. Click through the gallery for the complete instructions.

And for something decidedly less spooky, we have a peek at a Hearts of Kyber necklace inspired by the necklace Lyra Erso gives Jyn in Rogue One. This design cleverly uses a glue stick as the kyber crystal. You can sculpt a crystal unique to you.

These two activities only scratch the surface of the projects in Star Wars Everyday. The book features dark side chocolate cookies, a Cloud City dinner idea, Ewok birdhouses, and much more. The official synopsis says:

The Ultimate Lifestyle Book for Star Wars Fans: Ashley herself guides you through crafting projects, recipes, mindfulness exercises, and party planning ideas that are fun and accessible for Star Wars fans of any age.

Yearlong Activities: Designed to be used throughout the year, this book features family friendly activities that are organized by monthly themes, such as Hope, Friendship, and Adventure.

Perfect For You and Your Padawan: A fantastic gift for families obsessed with Star Wars, this book is a fantastic way to create engaging galactic adventures for both parents and children.
