By now you’ve probably heard of the web series Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, a web series that is made to look like a kid’s show (complete with puppets and songs) that often devolves into the weird, creepy, and downright disturbing.
The show has been one of the internet’s biggest mysteries, with loads and loads of people on the internet coming up with theory after theory on what the puppet show is actually about. Well, for now anyway, it seems like the creepiest, most bizarre web series has finally come to a close. If you haven’t seen the series yet, I’d highly recommend going to check it out now. Each episode is rather short, so it won’t take you too long to watch it.
What does it all mean? We have no freaking idea, but a number of YouTubers have tried their hand at decoding every bit of meaning that they could find lurking in the series. Check out what YouTube Explained thinks about the final episode of the series.
The series is brilliant and creepy, but every episode leaves me feeling confused and freaked out. Of course now that the series is, in theory, over. We can all go back and examine the series as a whole, so if you need me I’ll be examining the show frame-by-frame.
