We already knew Emilia Clarke was a talented linguist. After all, she can speak English, High Valyrian, and Dothraki. What we didn’t know is that she’s also adept at accents. Her skills with cadences got put to the test on The Tonight Show. The Game of Thrones star recited the lyrics to Olivia Rodrigo’s “good 4 u” by taking a vocal journey around the globe.
This week the Mother of Dragons made a virtual stop at NBC to talk to Jimmy Fallon. She was there to discuss her first-ever comic book, M.O.M. Mother of Madness, birthday skydiving, and joining the MCU on the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion. Clarke was also there to have some fun though. Fallon challenged his desk to show off her many accents by reading the lyrics to Olivia Rodrigo’s latest hit song. And it was good 4 everyone.
Clarke took viewers on a trip around the globe. First she was a grizzled New Yorker and a California Valley Girl. From there she headed across the Atlantic for some spoken word poetry in Germany, France, and Russia. She then headed down under to read some lyrics with an Australian accent. From there she headed back to have a hoedown with her Southern US voice. All before finishing up like a good lass with a cold can of Guinness and her Irish accent.
But as much fun as it was to hear her many voices, watching her do them was even more entertaining. These are just a few of the ridiculous faces she made during the segment.

It doesn’t matter where you’re from. It doesn’t matter what kind of accent you have. Seeing Khaleesi twist her face to look French or Russian is funny in any language.
Well, maybe not Dothraki. Not because you never make a silly face when speaking it. We just wouldn’t laugh at anyone who could.
