Japanese STAR WARS Beauty Masks Are a Little Creepy

We’ve seen all kinds of incredibly wacky Star Wars products over the past four decades, both official and made by fans. But here’s something really out there. Via Geekologie, we’ve discovered a Japanese company called Isshin Do has created a series of hydrating face masks featuring characters from the galaxy far, far away. You can now make yourself feel more youthful and hydrated while sporting the faces of Darth Vader, a stormtrooper, Darth Maul, C-3PO, and Chewbacca.

Each of these single-use Star Wars face mask contains a mix of water, glycerin, water-soluble collagen, Vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid. If you happen to be living in Japan, you can snag a mask for around $4 each. But for the rest of you in other countries, you can still get these sheet masks. Buy yourself a 3-pack of any character for $31 from the Japan Trend Shop. Yes, it’s a bit pricier, but who doesn’t want the chance to make themselves look more fresh while resembling a Sith Lord or a Wookiee?

Hopefully, these sell well enough for Isshin Do to add to the line. Boba Fett and Kylo Ren would make for good masks too. It’s probably far less likely that you’ll see versions of any of the human actor’s faces though. First of all, they probably didn’t sign their likenesses away to be used on rejuvenating face masks. Plus imagine how creepy a Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker mask would look like. It would wind up being the inspiration for a new horror movie slasher—kind of like how the William Shatner Captain Kirk death mask became the basis for the Michael Myers mask in the original Halloween.

Hmm… maybe we actually are kind of down for that kind of Star Wars movie. Someone get Hamill to sign on the dotted line for these beauty masks and let’s get the ball rolling.
