The First Poster For 25th Bond Film NO TIME TO DIE Is Here

Daniel Craig is officially back in action as James Bond… for the last time. We’re just about six months away from the actor’s final outing as the beloved spy in No Time to Die and after our first glimpse at the actor on set in June, we’ve been eagerly anticipating the first official material from the film. Luckily, it seems our wait is over. To celebrate James Bond Day—the anniversary of Bond’s theatrical debut in 1962’s Dr. No—the official 007 Twitter account has released the very first poster for No Time to Die.

The 25th official film in the famed franchise, No Time to Die also marks Craig’s fifth and final appearance as the iconic, dapper MI6 agent. While the upcoming film sees Bond retired and trying to live a peaceful life outside of intelligence, he’s never truly retired as he’s pulled back into the world of spies by none other than CIA agent Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright)—who we last saw in Quantum of Solace.

The official No Time to Die plot synopsis:

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

In addition to Craig and Wright, a number of Craig-era Bond staples are returning for No Time to Die, including Naomie Harris as Moneypenny; Ben Whishaw as Q; Rory Kinnear as Tanner; Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann; and Ralph Fiennes as M. As it’s Craig’s final outing as the James Bond, we’re holding out hope for at least a few surprise appearances from old familiar faces.

Meanwhile, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch (who is reportedly taking up the 007 mantle in the film), Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, and Rami Malek are joining the franchise, with the latter assuming the role of Bond villain.

Directed by True Detective‘s Cary Joji Fukunaga—following the departure of Danny Boyle—the film has a large team behind its script, including veteran Bond writing team Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns with Fukunaga, and Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who was brought in at the request of Craig himself and will likely bring some much-needed humor to the franchise.

No Time to Die is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on April 8, 2020.
