Star Wars has always been great at merchandise collaborations, from Columbia’s Hoth-inspired winter attire to Vader UGG boots and beyond. Now, Japanese company Zoff is getting in on the action with a new line of eyewear inspired by our favorite Star Wars characters. The line is divided into premium and regular collections. The premium glasses are inspired by five original trilogy characters: Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, C-3PO, and the classic Stormtrooper model. The level of detail on the prescription eyewear is truly incredible. Both the Vader and Luke specs come with magnetic snap-on shades, with Vader’s in his iconic black…… and Luke’s in Rebellion-pilot yellow. The R2-D2, C-3PO, and Stormtrooper glasses don’t have the shade option, but still evoke character designs that make them instantly recognizable, from Artoo’s blue lining and red button, to Threepio’s fancy gold ridges, to the Stormtrooper’s boxy white and black look. The premium collection isn’t available in Japan until December 15, but the regular collection is currently available for purchase. That line is less personal and more collectively Star Wars in design. They come in two options – Sith and Jedi – and feature the famous Star Wars title logo cast in red or blue.Additionally, a set of limited online store-only specs are available depicting characters from the series in visible in the inner arms. The regular glasses come in an array of styles and shapes, so Japanese buyers can customize them to their liking.Though not available Stateside, the regular series is available in Zoff stores in Japan and on their website. You can keep your eye on the premium line’s availability here. Those lucky enough to get their hands on the beautiful Zoff collection will no doubt see the Force in a brand new resolution!
