Warning: There are potential spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Oh snap! We’ve known for a while Samuel L. Jackson was bringing Nick Fury to Spider-Man: Far From Home. But it’s one thing to read rumors and unverified reports and another thing to have visual confirmation. Today’s Nerdist News examines the pics of Nick Fury and Spidey on set and what the images could mean for Far From Home.[brightcove video_id=”5846591557001″ brightcove_account_id=”3653334524001″ brightcove_player_id=”rJs2ZD8x”]Join host and J. Jonah Jameson’s star reporter, Jessica Chobot, as she goes over the pictures of Nick Fury and Spider-Man racing through the canals of Venice, Italy in a speedboat. And yes, Spider-Man is wearing a hoodie over his costume; isn’t that the most Peter Parker thing for him to do? The Scarlet Spider costume from the comic had a hoodie built in after all. Plus, this could be Peter’s way of going incognito. Or maybe he’s just cold.As we recently noted, we believe Far From Home may be drawing upon the Secret War storyline from 2004. In that comic, Spidey and other heroes were recruited by Fury to go to Europe and take down a villain who was giving C-list bad guys a major tech upgrade. This would fit in with the rumors about several minor Spider-Man villains potentially appearing the new sequel.Fury’s association with Peter Parker may also explain the dark costume Spidey was wearing in previously revealed pics. In Secret War, Fury equipped the heroes with black ops style variants of their usual outfits, which he could do in this film for any potential stealth missions. What do you think about the latest pics from the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home?
