Watch Every STAR WARS Death in One Supercut

Star Wars is a series of movies about, well, war, so it’s natural that not every hero or villain is going to make it out alive. But while we mourned the death of Han Solo, or Padmé Amidala, or every single person on the Rogue One squad, have we ever properly grieved for Antidar Williams? What about poor Nahani Gillen? Do you know who either of those people are? Doesn’t matter, because today they’re all getting the remembrance they justly deserve.

This elaborate supercut by YouTube user CT 5555 chronicles the death of every single named character in the Star Wars franchise, starting in chronological order with The Phantom Menace and working through two animated series (dang, a lot more people died in The Clone Wars than I expected!) and several trilogies until The Force Awakens. If you know anything about the Star Wars franchise, it’s that it contains a heck of a lot of characters, which explains why this video clocks in at just over 30 minutes long. Come on, Lucasfilm–does every extra in a scene need their own first and last name? What do you think the over-under is on how many of these characters also had their own action figure, too?

And don’t forget, now that the comic books and novels are officially canon, there are way more dead bodies in Star Wars than this video describes. War is hell, man. Even when it’s set to inspiring John Williams music.

What’s your favorite on-screen Star Wars death? (If it’s Boba Fett, we need to have a talk). Let us know in the comments below!
