ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Actors Reprise Roles for Disney Parks Attraction

The Marvel expansions at Disney theme parks continues this year, as the official Disney Parks Blog has revealed details about the already announced  Ant-Man and the Wasp attraction at  Hong Kong Disneyland. On March 31, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle! will open to park guests. Not only will this ride be Disney’s first attraction featuring the characters of Ant-Man and The Wasp, but it will also be the first Marvel-themed attraction featuring a female superhero as a lead character.

As work begins on the Disneyland Resort’s Marvel-themed land, set to open in 2020, the Hong Kong resort has already begun their Marvelization; the Nano Battle! follows The Iron Man Experience, which opened to rave reviews in 2017. The basic storyline of the forthcoming attraction finds guests swept up in a critical mission with the diminutive duo, who have answered Iron Man’s call for support in defending Hong Kong against an attack from HYDRA. The attraction will feature both Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprising their roles as Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, with direction by Peyton Reed and music by Christophe Beck, who scored the films. No word yet on if this ride will be recreated in other Disney theme parks, but rumor has it that each of the Marvel-themed lands will be distinct from one another, with attractions unique to each park. But Disney has been known to change their mind about such things, so who knows? We may see it at Disneyland or in one of the other parks at some point down the line.
