Ever since DC Comics announced their direct-to-consumer video service DC Universe, we’ve been wondering exactly two things: “When?” and “How much?” The company has now revealed all of that, along with a few, shall we say, signing bonuses.
Four original live-action shows will anchor the weekly programming: Titans, its spin-off Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, and a fourth to be announced at Geoff Johns’ Comic-Con panel. Swamp Thing, executive produced by James Wan, will exist in a separate reality from the other two announced shows.
So how do you get it? Starting this fall, per the press release, “fans in the United States can now pre-order DC UNIVERSE at DCUNIVERSE.com for the yearly membership fee of $74.99 (plus tax, if applicable in your state). Monthly memberships will be available at launch for $7.99 a month.” Order a year before it goes live and get three months free. Preorder before Sunday, July 22, and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win tickets to the Aquaman premiere.
