Has GAME OF THRONES Already Shown Us its Endgame?

Winter has come to Westeros, and it will soon be gone for good! There are only two episodes left of Game of Thrones season 7, and only six episodes slated for the eighth and final season. Considering how long it has taken to get all of the major players on the same continent, that doesn’t leave a lot of time for the show to wrap up its multiple storylines. However, there is a strong possibility that we’ve already seen the endgame for the series. Today’s Nerdist News is examining a theory that could bring the seven kingdoms to their collective knees! There are potential spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones! It’s just a theory for now, but if it turns out to be true, you may wish to remain Unsullied. Either way, you’ve been warned!Join host and the only sister in the Brotherhood without Banners, Jessica Chobot, as she reminds us about a key piece of zombie wisdom: never bring the walking dead home! Jon Snow and his friends have clearly never read a zombie story, otherwise they would probably not want to risk causing an outbreak on this side of the Wall. And all for the benefit of Queen Cersei? Daenerys may not quite believe in Jon’s story yet, but Cersei could never be convinced to give up her pursuit of power for the greater good. If she and Qyburn get their hands on a White Walker, you can bet that they’ll try to use it against their enemies. If that happens, King’s Landing could become a city of the dead and the White Walkers may attack the seven kingdoms on two fronts. Considering that Daenerys has been repeatedly warned that she can’t simply have her dragons burn down a city, it seems like the show has been setting that up to happen. If a dragon’s fire is the only way to keep the outbreak contained, Daenerys may have to follow in the footsteps of her father, the Mad King, and go even further by destroying King’s Landing. That would certainly be a bittersweet ending, and it’s unlikely that the regular citizens would ever believe her reason for taking that action unless they saw the White Walkers themselves. That could make Daenerys even more hated than Cersei. But what do you think about the potentially dark conclusion for the series? Let’s discuss in the comment section below!
