May the Fourth be with you. In preparation for what should be an international holiday during which we all get the day off to binge through the entire Star WarsOpens in a new tab catalogue (prequels optional), we are delighted to bring you a very synthy cover of John Williams’ iconic “The Force Theme.” This tune could fit right into the next season of Stranger ThingsOpens in a new tab, assuming there was a proper homage to the boys’ (presumably) favorite film.
“I was inspired by artists like Tomita who re-imagined iconic Star Wars themes with synthesizers,” Scandroid explained via email. “I was excited to cover the ‘The Force Theme’ because I wanted to blend classic analog synthesizers with a re-orchestration of the original song. Not only was I influenced by the classic Star Wars films, but I am inspired by the possibilities of the new films. Enjoy this May 4th release and may the Force be with you.â€Let us know what you think of the cover above in the comments below, and May the Fourth be with you!
