Microsoft is certainly making waves at this year’s E3 with a whole bunch of announcements and new trailers. From an exclusive new trailer for the highly anticipated canon Star Wars game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to a surprise appearance by the man of 2019, Keanu Reeves, plus George R.R. Martin’s Elden Ring, and a potential new horror franchise starter, we’ve got every trailer right here!

Elden Ring

One of the games that were leaked just before E3 began this fantasy collaboration between George R.R. Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki, the gorgeous first look hints at an epic open world that centers around a Lord of the Rings style magical object. As the voiceover teases, “I doubt you could even imagine it. That which commanded the skies, giving life its fullest brilliance. The Elden Ring. Shattered, by someone or something. Don’t tell me you don’t see it. Look up at the sky. It burns.”

Gears 5

 Another massive trailer is for the fifth entry into the Gears of War franchise. Gears 5 will feature a new “Escape” mode which is debuted in the very gory trailer: you have to set a bomb in a hive of alien monsters and then… Escape. If you want to know more about the game, the official description is as follows. “The world is crumbling. Humanity’s reliance on technology has become their downfall and enemies are uniting to wipe out all survivors. As Kait you must journey across the biggest, most beautiful Gears world to uncover the origins of the Locust, and fight with your squad to protect what’s left.”

Halo Infinite

The first game announced for Xbox’s newly revealed Project Scarlett is the sixth major entry into the Halo franchise, Halo Infinite. An epic five-minute trailer is more of an atmosphere piece than anything else though it features a major moment as Master Chief is brought back to life. According to Microsoft, the game is a “spiritual reboot” of the Halo franchise and is made for both old fans and new alike. Both the new console and game will hit in Fall, 2020.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

A big moment during this presentation after yesterday’s 14-minute gameplay footage presentation, Xbox shared a full trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. With a score that throws you right into the galaxy you know and love the action-packed trailer showcases Cal Kestis and his faithful droid BD-1 connecting with Saw Gerrera and his rebels as well as more of the new Purge Troopers. It also features a lot of lightsaber and Force power action and generally looks really, really great. It also offered up the release date for what will likely be the biggest game of the year: November 15th.

Cyberpunk 2077

Another game that revealed its release date was the Cyberpunk 2077 cinematic trailer featuring none other than Keanu Reeves himself. The neo-noir will hit shelves on April 16, 2020, and seems to be a heavily Blade Runner influenced tale of revenge as we get a glimpse of V–via flashback–on a mission gone wrong alongside a buddy who didn’t survive. Little is known about Reeves’ character but the fact that he appears in-game looking just like himself was enough to get the internet going wild.

Blair Witch

You can read our full write up of this spooky trailer here but this surprise reveal looks like a whole lot of spooky fun and ties into the cult found footage franchise’s sprawling lore. The official description gives us a little more info about the upcoming title. “It’s 1996. A young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, you join the search. What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods…”

Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions

After their popular Hot Wheels expansion in ˆ, looks like the team has been digging around in their toy box again for this super fun looking LEGO themed DLC. Not much to breakdown here but you can watch the trailer to get the full fun gist!

 Tales of Arise

Another leaked game was this new addition to the Tales of series which seems to be headed in a different direction from the rest of the games. With a release date of 2020, the creators teased, “Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-famous Tales of series, Tales of Arise.

Dying Light 2

Though it’s been delayed to Spring 2020 Dying Light 2 has been making an impact at this year’s E3 with its dystopian vision for the future and story focused vision of the zombie apocalypse. As Aidan Caldwell, an infected survivor, you’ll battle through the wasteland and become an agent of change. According to Techland, “It’s been 15 years since humanity lost to the virus. The last great human settlement exists within an unforgiving, infected world, plunged into a modern dark age. During the day, bandits, factions and starving survivors roam the streets scavenging for scraps – or someone to take them from, by violence if necessary. At night the infected roam free, evacuating their dark hideouts to prey on the living.”

CrossfireX

The popular PC first-person shooter that has over 650 million players is coming to Xbox in 2020 as this very shooty teaser announced.

Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC

With Borderlands 3 coming soon it makes sense that we’re getting this DLC which will set the stage for the new title. According to the first reviews, the newest addition to the franchise is around ten hours of new bonkers Borderlands gameplay.

Borderlands 3

Speaking of Borderlands 3 here’s the first full trailer for the newest addition to the super popular franchise, here we get to see the new vault hunters in action with the spotlight on Zane the Operative, Amara the Siren, Moze the Gunner, and FL4K the Beastmaster.

Bleeding Edge

Though the trailer for the new Ninja Theory game leaked prior to the E3 conference, we got to see it as the creators intended at the E3 Xbox keynote. The full trailer showcases a whole bunch on mad multiplayer melee action as well as showcasing a whole bunch of wild locations and arenas.

Psychonauts 2

As well as announcing their acquisition of Psychonauts’ developer Double Fine Productions, Microsoft also showcased the trailer for Psychonauts 2. The sequel to the 2005 cult platformer will be hitting Xbox Game Pass as well as a plethora of other platforms later this year!

Minecraft Dungeons

Fans of blocky building rejoice as a new Minecraft game is upon us. Minecraft Dungeons showcased a really fun trailer that features gameplay from the newest iteration of the fan-fave franchise.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

The long-awaited sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest–which was first announced in 2017–is one step closer today after this gorgeous trailer was shown during the presentation. You’ll have to wait a little longer though as it’s not due out til 2020.

Battletoads

Fans of classic videogames are gonna love this one and we can’t wait for it. “The Battletoads are back! Rash, Zitz and Pimple are returning to steal the spotlight as they smash, stomp and drill their way through an all-new action-packed adventure of choreographed chaos. Couch co-op may never be the same again as this new Battletoads provides an epic brawl through exciting challenges and hordes of enemies. Developed by Dlala Studios in partnership with Rare.”

Get ready to pretend to fly some planes with a new take on the classic fight simulator from Microsoft.

Age of Empires II

Speaking of classic we’re getting a definitive edition of the beloved real-time strategy game Age of Empire II.

Wasteland 3

Grab your coat and head into post-apocalyptic Colorado in the newest Wasteland game. The new locale is far less dusty and dry than the desert-like settings of the last two games and as the official Xbox Youtube channel teases “It’s a cold war in Colorado. Join the Rangers, see exotic lands, and meet “interesting” people.”

Phantasy Star Online 2

If you know then you know… Sega has made millions of fans happy with this announcement that Phantasy Star Online 2 will finally be coming to the West in 2020. This comes more than seven years after the title was released in Japan and is big news for MMORPG diehards.

Spiritfarer

We’re in love with this super cute slice of life side scroller from Thunder Lotus that focuses on a young girl, her cat, their floating house, and the denizens of the lovely world where they live. This will be another Xbox Game Pass release.

Way to the Woods

One of the more subtle and intriguing offers in this year’s conference, Way to the Woods is a Ghibli-esque deer simulator which showcased a surreal and neon-hued landscape. It was an exciting inclusion for fans who were following the game which was originally meant to be released early this year. According to the new trailer, the sweet simulator will be “coming soon to Xbox Game Pass” so fingers crossed we’ll be able to play it before the end of the year!
