We still have ten months before the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicks off its official Phase 4 run with Black Widow, and even longer before we’re treated to more Asgardian fun with Thor: Love and Thunder. But it’s never too early to get fans excited about the future of the MCU, and during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige did just that with his announcements about that the fourth movie in the Thor saga. The film will feature the return of director Taika Waititi, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie on the throne, and a storyline from Jason Aaron’s acclaimed comic The Mighty Thor, which includes the debut of a female Thor, played by none other than Natalie Portman.

Basically, this promises to be everything we could want from a Thor movie, and the Internet seems to agree. Australian artist Bosslogic, best known for amazing digital art that depicts well-known actors and actresses in iconic superhero roles as well as spot-on promotional posters, has already put together a stunning poster for the upcoming film. Is it too early to say that we wish this was the actual poster Marvel will use for the film? Because we definitely want it to be.

Bosslogic writes that he used an image of Natalie Portman from V for Vendetta because of its similarities to Aaron’s comic. In the acclaimed run, Jane Foster takes up the mantle of Thor in the Asgardian’s absence while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The catch is that every time she becomes Thor, she cancels out her chemotherapy progress, which eventually leads to her death. (Though she’s later revived by Odin in gratitude for saving the Ten Realms from Malekith.) We don’t know exactly what story elements Marvel will pull from Aaron’s work, but Jane is going to have to become Thor in some way, and right now, Thor is pretty busy having a space adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Plus, we know from experience that Marvel isn’t afraid to make its audience shed a few tears…

Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters November 5, 2021.
