Universal Reveals Epic Universe’s How To Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

Universal Epic Universe’s How To Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk section will be one of five major themed-areas at the new park when it opens next year. Now Universal Orlando Resort has revealed the many amusements and perks visitors will encounter when they fly in. Developed in conjunction with Universal Creative, DreamWorks Animation, and Universal Pictures, the Isle of Berk is described as “an authentic re-creation of the rugged, rocky world” from the films. It’s a place “where raucous Vikings and rambunctious dragons live together in hilarious harmony.” And that will still be true at the theme park.

They company also says the experience is “one of the most breathtaking environments Universal has ever created.” It will boast “immense architecture featuring hand-carved details, lush landscaping, and extraordinary heights of rolling hills.” Those will be surrounded by “vibrant dragon houses and local establishments.” There will also be “sweeping vistas” taken right from the movie. And it will include a large lagoon containing two 40-foot-tall Viking statues. The Isle of Berk will be more than just a looker, though. Once inside visitors will also find four rides and a live show. Plus the area will include “several character and dragon meet-and-greet experiences.”
