If you’ve ever longed to get your hands on Kenner’s original Star Wars action figures from the 1970s, Hasbro has just the thing. It is not a time machine to travel back and buy the “Early Bird Certificate Package,” which you would then mail to Kenner to get the first four Star Wars toys. No one has the power to do that—not even a Disney licensee. No, instead, Hasbro is re-releasing those original Star Wars toys as a special retro collection. The toy company has released versions of these individually in the past.

In news we first spotted at GameSpot, Hasbro will drop the Star Wars: Retro Collection A New Hope Collectible Multipack in late May. The package will contain six retro Star Wars action figures. You’ll get a stormtrooper, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and Han Solo. I have long coveted that Leia figure with her perfect plastic cape.

Hasbro has been doing retro-style card backs for certain action figure lines for a while now. That style fits in exceptionally well here. The card backs have a “Retro” label and some faux weathering around the edges. They of course feature the iconic Kenner logo. You can see the retro Star Wars toys in all their glory in the gallery below.

Kenner’s original Star Wars action figure line included additional characters from A New Hope not sold in this package of six. The toy line continued throughout the original trilogy. Let’s hope Hasbro keeps this retro toy train going.

Hasbro shared a look at the package on its Fan First Wednesday livestream on May 4, a.k.a. Star Wars Day. They also showed off a Force FX replica of Obi-Wan’s lightsaber and a life-size Darth Vader helmet.

The retro Star Wars action figures will be available for pre-order on May 26 from Hasbro Pulse and shopDisney. They’ll go quickly, so may the Force be with you.
