On Saturday, Perdomo’s publicist confirmed the sad news and celebrated the performer’s short but impressive career. In a statement, they wrote, “On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident. Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures also released a joint statement about the late Gen V star. They said his death has “devastated” them. The show’s producers echoed those sentiments with their own statement, as have many who worked with him.

Chance Perdomo was born on October 19, 1996, in Los Angeles. But he grew up in Southampton, England with his mother. The actor once said he originally planned to be a lawyer before turning to acting. Other notable credits from his far too brief career include playing Landon Gibson three times in the After film franchise. He also played Benny in The Cipher podcast series.

Perdomo was set to return for Gen V‘s second season and filming on the series was planned to begin this month. Amazon has already said it will delay the production. Perdomo’s last listed credit will see him star alongside Seann William Scott and Rob Riggle in Bad Man.
