Hidden Detail Reveals How the X-Men Could Join the MCU

  1. eemmillyyy!!! says:

    He’s a cutie on Mad Men πŸ˜‰

  2. Pete was referencing Rich Hall who inspired Moe Szyslak. Definitely has a lot of TV credits here in Australia.

  3. Amanda says:

“The wheel tore the hair off that woof’s face”

  4. FYI, those metal strips put inside books to set off the alarms if they’re not desensitized are called “Tattle Tape.” AND we library folks know that whole “steal several books, check out ONE” trick, so good luck getting away with it now.

Speaking of libraries, I was the girl in college who researched old Consumer Reports articles about which condoms worked best and circulated copies of that article to my closest female friends. Yes, I’m a bit nerdy.

And speaking of sex, my first porno was “Young Lady Chatterley,” which was VERY loosely based on the novel “Lady Chatterley’s Lover.” Glad I saw it when I did because it took a LOT of mystery out various acts I wouldn’t partake in until a few years later. I distinctly remember thinking at one point, “So THAT’S how that works.”

Okay, I probably shouldn’t put my real name with this post. I’ll just use the nickname Petie Pants gave me at one of his shows.

  5. David says:

Oh God. The roller skating blackman just caught me sweet. This is why I listen to these podcasts – you shit gems Pete Holmes. Thanks for the laugh.

  6. Nameless says:

    Hello everyone! Hello Pete Holmes!

I’ve been looking for the Jamie Lee podcast you mention in passing in a couple of episodes. Is that a real thing, or did you take it down for personal reason? Or is it ancient aliens?

I just need to know. I can’t sleep. Can’t eat. I NEED TO KNOW.

I’d welcome any answer from a weirdo.

  7. Joshua says:

The name of the Christian version of “No Fear” shirts was “Fear Not”.

  8. Brandy says:

What a great episode! Good content but also so fun! I kept thinking of the quote, “Honesty without compassion is brutality” when you were talking about being really honest around 1:14. I’d watch Sommer Holmes πŸ™‚

  9. Laura says:

  10. angie says:

    I don’t know why we’re not all laughing at that… πŸ™‚

  11. John G. says:

I could listen to you talk about Mad Men for an entire show. Can you add that to the Pete empire?

    You Made It Mad Men?

Maybe even get Rich Sommers back every week to talk about the show for the next 6 episodes or whatever it is we have left. I love it.

    Donny Drapes!!!

  12. Walker Smith says:

Loved the episode. I like this guy a lot.

Also: Garrison Keillor was never a Lutheran he just lived in a place with a lot of them. His family was a fundamentalist sect called the Brethren (I think the Closed Brethren) which is very, very conservative.

  13. ItsAlrightPodcast says:

Hard Laughin at Dad’s “doot-doo-doo” joke…that alone should make up for “having” to listen to a Peteyism that might bug you a little, no? I got pet peeves that are irrational too, Just Her & can sympathize with getting irked…but Pete reads comments sometimes and I am pretty sure he’d be more likely to take your advice if it weren’t covered in cranky juice. Weirdo power!

  14. Jeff says:

i love your show but i shut it off before keep it crispy now because it gives me the shivers with its awkwardness..! i dont care if you talk over other people because you are totally you. fuck em’ they know what theyre getting into (hopefully!)

  15. Just Her says:

For christ’s sake, Pete, stop saying “rightrightright” and LET PEOPLE FINISH THEIR GODDAMN SENTENCES! Just because you understand someone’s point doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be allow to finish it!

  16. tzvi says:

Rich Summers is kind of an ironic name for a guy who grew up in Minnesota.

  17. tomK says:

I haven’t listened yet, but between Nerdist, YMIW and Chewin’ It updating as much as they do, I just want to say thanks for keeping me occupied at work. Editing video without human interaction can make it a little crazy in my head. At least now there’s voices up there.
