AT&T is denying that there’s a problem…Apple refuses to respond at all…if this exact service issue on the 3G network is happening all over the world, how long can they get away with ignoring it?

    i don’t know about “blind worship.” i actually think there are less “mac snobs” convincing people to change over and more of a tech point for people using apple products. of course the “cool trendy” factor as well.

    but i don’t just buy apple because it’s apple. i did my research, took a leap and it turned out ok for me. i still use windows heavily at work and the only reason i got a mac really is because it could load windows via bootcamp or parallels etc, and that running my music store required me to know what customers use and i knew nothing about mac and the programs available for musicians who used them.

    again, i think the “mac snobbery” is actually decreasing these days as the market share goes up.

    chrisallen: I think it poses an interesting legal question…could consumers launch a class-action suit at AT&T for breach of contract for not providing reasonable service? Perhaps this could result in the unlocking of iPhones, though it would take so long to get it through the proper channels that by that time we could probably switch carriers anyway.

    Hate to say it but that’s what you get with Apple Arrogance. They think they can get away with it because they are the supposed god of technology which is probably due to the blind worship of their rabid followers. In other words, you reap what you sow.

    well look how they handled the me.com fiasco… sorry, something’s wrong here have a free month of problems, on us.

    not too sure. they wanted market share and they’re getting it, but were they ready for this? it used to be that only geeks were mac users, even though it was supposed to be easier for people to use! it took me years of windows bashing and hating to become an apple user.

    and now that everyone is following suit, there’s problems. oh well. i just want stuff that works. so far my iphone edge is still great.

    i’m sure they’re gonna put the focus on at&t’s network as the problem. but it’s apple’s wish to remain exclusive to them.

    will we see a broken contract due to failure to perform and then the iphone spread out across all gsm carriers?!
