Here’s What Lynda Carter Thought After Seeing the New WONDER WOMAN

Here’s What Lynda Carter Thought After Seeing the New WONDER WOMAN

During the ’70s, Lynda Carter became synonymous with Wonder Woman thanks to her three season stint in the title role of the Wonder Woman TV series.  Additionally, Carter was the only actress to portray Wonder Woman in live-action (one of two if you count an unaired TV pilot) until Gal Gadot‘s appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Carter has also been very gracious with her successor, and seemed especially pleased to appear with Gadot last fall at the Wonder Woman United Nations Ambassador Ceremony. Now that Carter has finally seen the new film, she’s even more enthusiastic about the future of the iconic character.

Via Entertainment Tonight, Carter shared a few thoughts on her Facebook page before attending the premiere in Hollywood. “I’m in L.A., so excited to be attending the premiere of the new Wonder Woman movie, directed by my friend, Patty Jenkins, and starring the beautiful Gal Gadot. I can’t wait to see that beloved character on the big screen where she belongs. I know it will be great!”

Shortly after the screening ended, Carter tweeted out a pic of herself with Gadot and director Patty Jenkins from the premiere as she revealed her brief review of the film.

If the Wonder Woman film gets a sequel (which seems pretty likely at this point), we’d love to finally see these two Wonder Women share the screen. Carter had a recurring guest role on Supergirl‘s second season as the President of the United States, so hopefully she’ll have an equally memorable role in the inevitable Wonder Woman 2.
