Two More Heroes Confirmed for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice just under a month away, the film has landed a major cover feature on the new issue of Entertainment Weekly. And while EW hasn’t put up all of its stories from that issue yet, it has confirmed the presence of two previously rumored DC superheroes within Batman v Superman.

“Aquaman, the Flash, Cyborg…turn up in…smaller roles, more cameo oriented,” said EW‘s Anthony Breznican in a video introduction for the issue. And to drive the point home, the video contains a brief glimpse from the page that profiles Ezra Miller as the Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

The image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman has been widely seen, but this is the first official acknowledgement that Flash and Cyborg are making their intros in Batman v Superman. DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures already have both characters lined up for their own movies in addition to their roles in the two-part Justice League film that began shooting last week.

Additionally, the cover for the new EW teases the Flash’s “terrifying vision” in one of the blurbs.

Now, what could that vision be? Early rumors have suggested that this Flash may get a glimpse of the multiverse—just like his TV counterpart, as portrayed by Grant Gustin—but given this film’s status as a prequel to the Justice League, it’s more likely a look at Darkseid’s invasion of the Earth. In fact, we may have already seen some of the Flash’s vision in the trailer, when it showed the creatures who looked a lot like Parademons.

We’ll find out for sure when Batman v Superman hits theaters on March 25.
