This Week on the Nerdist Podcast Network: JURASSIC WORLD with Chris Pratt, Lauren Lapkus, and Colin Trevorrow, plus more….

Among the many highlights on the Nerdist Podcast Network this week were a couple of shows that just happened to feature some of the folks involved with a little movie you might have… aah, let’s drop that and just say it was a Jurassic World week here at Ye Olde Podcastte Network. Here, look:

Chris Pratt — you’re familiar with him, we trust — and director Colin Trevorrow came by to talk about Jurassic World on the Nerdist Podcast, and it’s a great look behind the scenes at the biggest movie of the year to date. The discussion hits a lot of interesting spots, like how fame and weight loss have changed life for Mr. Pratt, the pressures of social media on public perception of celebrities, and developing Owen’s character.

More Jurassic World was in store on the Nerdist Podcast with a visit from Lauren Lapkus. Lauren’s in Jurassic World, and that’s a lot of the discussion, including the charm of Chris Pratt (see above) and working with Colin Trevorrow (also see above). She’s also in the new TBS sitcom Clipped, so she talks about working with George Wendt, which naturally got Matt Mira excited, his being a Cheers/Frasier fanboy. And there’s talk about UCB and a strange situation with Matt’s cousin and his bike. You have to listen to find out what happened with THAT.

We got a hostful Nerdist Podcast, too. It’s the “Summer of Matt,” you know. We got an update on that, and Jonah’s take on the controversial new documentary about Kurt Cobain, Soaked in Bleach, and James Bond, and Chris at Bonnaroo, and money, and more. Nice to have ’em all in one room, it is.

And more: Nerdist Writers Panel featured the incredibly accomplished Brannon Braga (Salem, Star Trek: TNG/Voyager/Enterprise, 24, Terra Nova) and also brought together creator Matt Nix and the team behind USA Network’s Complications in a live bonus episode from ATX. Former Ghost Hunters cast member Ashley Troub is still hunting ghosts, and she came on Bizarre States to talk about it. Comic and actor Amir Talai was Janet’s latest Boy of Summer on The JV Club. Marcy Guevara is a Plus Size style influencer, and the Pro You team decided to use as a guest on a hunch by Tom that she might have some interesting stuff to say; the result was inspirational and well worth your time.

Still more: Andy Kindler was back in part 2 of his latest appearance on The Todd Glass Show. Ilene Graff — the mom on Mr. Belvedere! — dished on that show and all of the week in pop culture on Pop My Culture (and, incidentally, get well, Bob Uecker). Actor Anthony Rapp (from the original off-Broadway and Broadway versions of Rent) talked video games and stuff with Emily and Kumail on The Indoor Kids. Pete Holmes continued his Friends Of Rob Bell series in a talk with Alexander Shaia on You Made it Weird. Jeffrey Burandt brought Odd Schnozz and the Odd Squad to Comic Book Club. The Late Late Show with James Corden writer Sean O’Connor told Gil what that’s like on The Mutant Season. And Orphan Black composer Trevor Yuile talked about the music on the series and the season finale got a preview on Clonecast.

And: Lemme was going crazy with the heat on Chewin’ It. Man, we’re only in mid-June; imagine him two months from now. Matt Braunger talked about a wedding, doing @midnight, and more on a new Ding-Donger. No guest, just Dan and Razzle trading factual information this week on Today We Learned. And we got Part 3 of the April Fool’s insanity of Thrilling Adventure Hour.
