THE VENTURE BROS Meet Marvel’s Avengers (Kind of) in Season Six Trailer

Failure and disappointment are two of the main recurring themes of The Venture Bros. But the long-awaited sixth season of the animated series is flipping the script for Dr. Rusty Venture. By practically doing nothing at all, Dr. Venture is now the heir to the multi-million dollar company left behind by his late brother, J.J. Venture. So Dr. Venture and his sons are relocating to New York, and even Brock Samson is back in the Venture fold!

However, New York presents its own unique set of problems for the Ventures. In the newly released season six trailer, the doc and his family are welcomed to the big city by obvious parodies of Marvel and DC superheroes and villains, including the Fallen Archer, Think Tank, Night Dick…and a cross-dressing Captain America pastiche?!

Dr. Venture’s primary nemesis, The Monarch, is clearly unhappy about his adversary’s newfound fortune…which means that he’ll be dropping by Manhattan, too! Provided, of course, that he and former Henchman 21 escape from the clearly deranged Pirate Captain. Meanwhile, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch has her own problems getting the new Guild of Calamitous Intent up and running. And it definitely seems like the New York villains are giving her an ultimatum in order for her to win their support. We’re guessing that it’s some kind of “indecent proposal.”

The Venture Bros. season six will premiere on Sunday, January 31 at midnight on Adult Swim.
