The Second Comic-Con Nerdist Podcast, Wet Hot David Wain, Wil’s Back: Next Week In Podcasts

What’s up this week on the Nerdist Podcast Network? Here’s some of it:

We’ll hear the second San Diego Comic Con Nerdist Podcast with Tom Hiddleston, Guillermo del Toro, and Maisie Williams. If you weren’t there, you will be now, figuratively speaking.

David Wain will stop by the Nerdist Podcast with a preview of the Wet Hot American Summer prequel series he’s doing for Netflix and to talk about the origins of The State and his zillions of projects over the years.

Wil Wheaton will also return to the Nerdist Podcast, which is always a good time. This makes… how many appearances? I think it’s three-and-a-half – he’s done it at least twice solo, and once when he did the Comic Con podcast with Matt Smith and Karen Gillan. Oh, wait, he was also on one with Gabe Newell at Valve. Whatever. He’s back and it’s always a great time.

Ed Brubaker (Fatale, Captain America, Velvet, many more) is back for another round on the Nerdist Comics Panel; you might recall his Writers Panel solo appearance in 2012 and a panel with Len Wein and Jackson Publick that same year. He’s got plenty more to say.

And the Nerdist Writers Panel will take a look at AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire with creators Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers. On critics’ lists of Shows You Aren’t Watching But Should, Halt and Catch Fire has been appearing with regularity, especially in its second season.

And more, of course. Get ready for all of it. Go to the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage and subscribe to all of our podcasts, and follow the Nerdist Podcast Network Facebook page, too. Let’s do this.
