Why the Internet is Overreacting About RICK AND MORTY Season 4

Why the Internet is Overreacting About RICK AND MORTY Season 4

  1. waldo says:

Great guest! Jake has made a Fogelnest in my Fogelheart! This is a lot better than that unfunny frat boy. What was that? I couldn’t even keep listening. But whatever it’s your show, this is free, I’m not complaining bout a free show! Anyway I love Jake!

  2. Storm says:

Princess Toadstool was the original American name for Peach. She’s called Pichi-Hime in Japan.

  3. Forrest says:

I had actually always thought Emily’s twitter handle was a twist on that only R.O.B. game “Gyromite”…apparently I was mistaken 🙂

  4. onReload says:

Pablo, do your friends and family ever refer to you as angry, not fun, emotionally unintelligent, or totally elitist? What about “dickish?”

Do you often dream about worlds where we would never be wrong or never say something not everyone would agree with?

Have you ever thought about putting yourself in someone else’s shoes, where you might know how it feels to read that kind of hate from some faceless force behind a computer screen?

  5. pablo says:

I listen to the podcast because of kumail, he’s entertaining.. So stop with the try hard defense, you aren’t getting free merch for monitoring the comments bro..

  6. Al says:

^Just because you hear someone’s voice doesn’t mean you have a relationship with them. But keep hoping for a response…

Great podcast. Fogelnest was fun even though he doesn’t seem like a gamer at all.

  7. pablo says:

Lol.. “there’s not that many good games on the ps3”

I like how you say stupid shit like that all the time Emily.. Just keeps reminding me there’s only one real gamer in this podcast

  8. Zaphod79 says:

When talking about the game with Rob I’m surprised the name didnt come up as its similar to a name which is mentioned every episode

  9. Aj says:

The only real (read: believable) romance in Zelda is Anju & Kafei from Majora’s Mask. Probably one of my favourite gaming love stories.

  10. Ben Clarkson says:

In case some people haven’t even seen this semi-relevant Mario video..

    Its still makes me laugh.

  11. Alec says:

As a massive Star Trek nerd, I can totally vouch for Kumail’s joking inclusion of Galaxy Quest as one of the best Trek movies. Look at the actual Trek movies that it was sandwiched between:

    1) Insurrection was an effort to turn a middling two-part episode into an actiony adventure, and
    2) Nemesis was so bad that it sent Tom Hardy spiraling into a crack cocaine addiction (!!).

I’d much rather have a story that serves as both a send-up and a love letter to the cheesy, optimistic, sincere heart of old science fiction.

Oh, and if you want to see how a Claptrap/GLaDOS relationship would turn out, check out Poker Night 2:

  12. Daniel says:

Hey Mr. Pickett! My comment referred to something that was actually in the podcast — yet yours did not! [in Aziz Ansari voice] BAM!!!!

Now that I’ve finished listening to the podcast, let me recomend for the definitive take on superhero-mortal sex: Larry Niven’s essay, “Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex”:

And a constructive suggestion for Kumail and Emily: It must be getting pretty hard to find topics to base entire episodes on. (At this rate it wouldn’t surprise me if you eventually had “Best Dressed Game Characters.”) As an alternative I wouldn’t consider it cheating if you did what other podcasts like The Morning After have done and use a standard set of recurring questions with guests. It worked for that podcast because each guest gave different answers.

  13. ItsAlrightPodcast says:

lol @ Hulk green member discussion…and confirmation from film crit HULK? What a Monday green treat!!

  15. Anthony Httr Pickett says:

Nerdist streaming podcast free. Live taping of the toddglass show in Portland $20. Posting comments before you listen because you want to seem clever.Priceless…

  16. Daniel says:

By Grabthar’s Hammer, what a podcast!

Haven’t listened to it yet, just wanted to get off the catchphrase before someone else did! Oh, and also wanted to recommend everyone to watch the Deleted Scenes — they are all hilarious, and were probably cut for time, not because they weren’t funny.
