Who Is the Secret Cameo in DEADPOOL 2?

  1. Jon says:

Thomas Middleditch plays TW games? Oh man… he just jumped up 1000 notches in my books of awesome, I already thought he was great, he’s now in a godlike place.

  2. Aaron says:

I just paused the podcast 20 minutes in so I could take a break from work and watch the first episode of Silicon Valley. I’m in. In my opinion, it was a little rough around the edges, with force-feeding the exposition and jokes missing their mark, but T.J. and Tom did a fantastic job. T.J. just seems like a send-up of himself, which all I ever see him do (and that’s totally fine because it works), but Tom really delivered on the nervous, timid, frail protagonist you want to see succeed. Kumail and Martin didn’t really get too much time to shine, but I’m sure there will be more opportunity as their characters develop over the first season. Here’s hoping the writers give each of the characters plenty of depth so they aren’t all just portraying stereotypes. I am excited to see where the show goes and what’s in store for all of the characters.

    Okay, back to the podcast!

  3. Kate says:

I just tweeted you guys but I wanted to elaborate on how amazing you just made my evening– I’m in Austin for a sociolinguistics conference (womp womp yes I’m a grad student) and I don’t know anyone here. Luckily, I listened to your podcast on time to get your tip about the White Horse! I went by myself, ended up making 2 new awesome friends, waltzed to honky tonk and learned the Texas two step– all within the initial 5 hours of being in Austin! And I got to drink Lone Star just like Rust Cohle! Thanks again Emily and Kumail for putting out a fantastic podcast and a special thank you for the lovely evening I just experienced– you guys are awesome!

  4. Curtis Kendall says:

Fairly tangential but Kumail definitely made the minecart sequence in Gears of War far more challenging if he was using a sniper rifle.

  5. MarcuzGUNgezE10 says:

Awesome podcast. Quickly becoming my favorite.

Anything Tim Shaffer, she would love the story. Psychonauts comes to mine. Might be too ‘gamey’ though.

Tearaway or Little Big Planet might be great for her. You more or less create your own experience.

If she liked the gameplay of South Park, maybe Paper Mario.

  6. sydney richardson says:

I now want a “enjoy your doritos” t-shirt

  7. Mikki says:

That Lootcrate wristband is from Attack On Titan! Not Titanfall!

  8. Diego says:

I think Emily said something along the lines of “Racist Indian Hands” at some point (?) and all I could picture was jazz-hands.

  9. hooligans says:

It was neat to hear from a very PC-center gamer. TrackIR, Flight sims, ArmA among many other things discussed show a lot of the fun of PC gaming. Although in case anyone is worried about the cost that was mentioned, you definitely don’t need to spend anywhere near $5000.00 for a very badass computer that will last you years.

  10. I was drinking milk when you said “pooping mouth”

…I think you know what happened.

  11. Noel says:

Great show again guys, so looking forward to Silicon Valley.

I think World of Goo is a great game for those who don’t normally play games. It’s fun and really simple to control.

I think Oculus Rift has basically had a whole lot of distrust dumped on them due to being associated with Facebook. They’ll want to get something out fast or people are going to leave in droves for competitors.

Hopefully Facebook are trying to break away from their traditional business practices of data mining etc with the oculus but I guess time will tell.

  12. Lee Benningfield says:

    Laughing out loud at “GURPes”

  13. david elliott says:

so while busy printing money as an actor,

kumail and his cronies also behave like LEO and his disciples in THE WOLF OF WALL STREET.

i love people in their 30’s behaving like 8th graders.

  14. Alec says:

The second Oculus dev kit runs at 75 frames per second.

  15. Rugby Carpenter says:

I laughed super hard at enjoy your doritos.

  16. GrampsHiro says:

Yes! A fellow ArmA man! Good to hear a PC master race man for a change.

  17. The Internet says:

    “You really Mordor-mouthed that, Emily.”
    FTFY 🙂

  18. Mr. Tony says:

The Totally War series is truly fantasmic. The ideal games for any OCD, meticulous, control-freak hoarder. So much fun.
