  1. Thanks for the comments, guys! We had a blast doing the show with K & E. Erica, here’s the link to Susan’s podcast:

  2. Ichabod Mansfield Asbury Trevor Wilhelm Achilles Tanenbaum says:

Oh! Right. My bad. I’d call it a blonde moment on my part, but… 😉

Yeah in that case I think your best bet is to download it through iTunes or their website on your home computer and then transfer the file onto your phone through your Zune application.

  3. Erica B says:

I have no problem finding the Indoor Kids, I was looking for the “Because show” that was mentioned in this episode as it sounds like something I’d be interested in listening too. I went to their webiste on and there isn’t an rss feed/link available, which I thought was weird.

    thanks for the tip anyhow!

    @Erica B

I have a Windows phone too and I go through the Marketplace app. If it’s not pinned to your start screen then swipe right and scroll down through your apps to the Ms. Then select podcasts and search for “Indoor Kids”. Should be the top result. It’ll make you download it over a wifi network so make sure you’re near a hotspot. Hope this helps!

  5. Erica B says:

I have a windows phone, thus I download podcasts through the xbox store. The Because show isn’t in the windows/xbox music library so i went to the webpage to see about getting the rss feed so I could add it in (because it’s sounds really interesting) or atleast subscribe in my zune software, and it’s no where to be found on the website. Am I blind? any help would be appreciated. or consider adding it the xbox store.

The jump from video games and learning problem solving to the twitch pokemon thing made me think of the twitch pokemon as humans teaching ourselves how to problem solve en mass…

You know the ‘we are all cyborgs and the internet is our hive mind’ thing..

It’s like a black monolith. ::que Richard Strauss:: o.O

  7. Noel says:

Another great episode guys. It’s interesting to hear how game savvy parents are managing their children’s gaming habits.

Modders should really get onto making child friendly versions of games. Kids would love just driving around GTA. Maybe it’ll happen more often now that modders are getting to the age of having kids.

  8. phillip medoc says:

If the Indoor Kids have a baby, they must name it Kumaimily, regardless of gender. Some wonderful podcasters are having broodlings lately — June Diane Raphael, Elizabeth Laime, off the top of my head. I can’t imagine Emily could keep from showing at Nerdmelt.

Forgive my intrusion of privacy. Best wishes to everyone and thanks for the podcast.

  9. Schmidtrx says:

I try to play video games with my son. He is 7 and his favorite is Star Wars Battlefront II and Battlefront I on the PS2. He’s a Skylander Junkie too. $$$$
But he also loves Journey…which was mentioned and Little Big Planet is a really great game for kids including the racing version. What a great show with great guests.

  10. Alec says:

Alright, having finished the ep, I have a couple comments! Not everyone involved with Def Con is super happy about the NSA shenanigans, or security corporations’ cooperation with them, which is why they’ve set up a counter-convention in protest of the annual one given by RSA Security:

The Netflix thing can be super insidious. An ISP doesn’t even have to artificially limit a site’s speed over their network. All they have to do is not upgrade the one link that the traffic takes. Netflix already pays companies like Cogent Communications directly to Verizon so that their video streams don’t have to pounce all around to world before getting to their customers, but Verizon can just sit back and let the site’s popularity saturate the links on their end.

  11. Spencer says:

    Emily, nice Mr. Show reference.

  12. Alec says:

Bagel clearly sabotaged the record in revenge.

  13. LevelledUp says:

This ep and all the questions made me wonder if Emily is pregnant.

  14. B.J. says:

I’m starting to worry you, Kumail. Nobody is supposed to be sick that long and still be alive.
