The 12 Days of Rollercoaster Tycoon Christmas

Partridges and pear trees aren’t always the easiest thing to locate, and giving human as Christmas gifts, be they lords a-leaping or maids a-milking, is impractical at best and immoral at worst. Understandably, “The 12 Days of Christmas,” a song that originated in the 18th century presumably with the idea that a king was giving the elaborate gifts, occasionally needs an update, or an interpretation kids will be able to make sense of. Turning himself into the gift giver of the song, YouTube Let’s Play video-maker Stu has adapted the tune this year to deliver the things he is best able to make: themed levels of RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic. It’s the 12 Parks of Christmas, which we found at Kotaku. Now, while Stu is clearly a master of crafting online amusements, he isn’t entirely an expert on hitting the right notes, so…let’s just say he won’t be on The Voice any time soon. But the effort and energy he puts into belting out the tune is spectacular, regardless of musical accuracy.

The world needs more pandas in mazes, don’t you think? Maybe Universal Studios can unleash Po on Halloween Horror Nights one year and make Stu’s creation happen for real.Do you appreciate all the effort Stu put in to give you 12 game creations this year? What’s your favorite alternate take on “The 12 Days of Christmas”? (The McKenzie brothers’ version is always a classic.) Tell us of the ballad of a dozen gifts variation that appeals to you the most, in comments below.
