Science Says STRANGER THINGS’ Eleven is Stronger Than a Jedi

In the grand pantheon of pop culture telekinesis users — characters who can move objects with their minds — I’d argue that the Jedi and Sith of the Star Wars universe are the most notable. They’ve been retrieving lightsabers and flinging Senate pods for four decades. However, a new challenger approaches. Using science and a bit of math, I think we can prove that Stranger Things‘ Eleven is as if not more powerful than any Force-user we’ve seen on screen.

In my latest Because Science, I’m taking another look at ST season one, before the highly anticipated new season drops tomorrow, to see if we can’t give a power rating to Millie Bobby Brown’s little Eggo eater. The most impressive use of her power in those first episodes has to be when she literally lifts an approaching van over the gang. By estimating the variables at play in that scene, I think we can make a most impressive comparison.

But to see where Eleven ranks among the Light side and Dark, you’ll have to watch my latest episode!

After you watch the new episode above, check out my last video on the reason why Captain America’s shield bounces, subscribe to this playlist to stay current with the show, buy a Because Science shirt, mug, hat, or collectible pin (the SURPRISE LIGHTSABER! shirts are in!), and follow me on Twitter to give me a suggestion for the next episode or on Instagram where I’m now posting extra mini-episodes!
