Spice Up Your D&D Game With These 3D Monsters

If it wasn’t for Dungeons & Dragons, there is a good chance this site would not exist. The pen and paper role-playing game has been synonymous with being a nerd since back when that was still an insulting word. The creativity and freedom that come along with the game are one of its biggest draws, but you don’t need to be the next Tolkien to enjoy playing. The game’s many different manuals give guidance to anyone interested in playing or creating a game, and none is more helpful to a budding Dungeon Master than The Monster Manual. When crafting a dungeon for your players to venture through, it can some times be a daunting task to try and visualize everything for yourself, but thankfully a designer named Miguel Zavala has your back.

Tech Crunch recently reported that Miguel has now made D&D monsters even easier to visualize in-game by offering free downloads of 3D Printable models based on how they appear in The Monster Manual. These models are free for anyone to download and spice up their game night with, and can be found here.

The designs are beautifully rendered and Zavala offers images of fully painted versions on his site to give players an idea of what they could look like when fully finished. These would be a welcome edition to anyone’s collection whether they are used for the game or just decoration, and I’m sure they would have made Gygax proud. Looks like I have another reason to start up a new campaign.
