See Me at SDCC!

Hey, gang! I KNOW Luke did a “where I’ll be” post yesterday, but unbeknownst to him I had spent a great deal of time formatting a more detailed version that resembles the SDCC program guide. So guess what?? I’M POSTING IT ANYWAY. Yeah! I call it reFUNdant. And “They” can’t stop me! Cuz I’M the THEY!

10a-11a – signing #2! Legendary Booth #3920 – Say, did you miss the BBC America signing on Thursday? Fear not, Sharpie-likers! I will be conducting another round of writing on thingses. Think of how excited you’ll be to have my signature on your book or clothing item. OR this time, it could be Ted Knight’s name on a taxidermy squirrel. Oh, the times we’ll have together. Please show up, because I will judge my own self worth based on attendance.

12-1p – Nerdist Channel Panel!, Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront – It’s been an exciting year for us, as we launched our very own YouTube channel in April as part of a YT-sponsored programming initiative. Joining the panel talk about their shows on the channel are smooth-talking mega-physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, Baba Bbooey himself, Gary Dell’Abate,  4 PointsAlex Albrecht & Alison Haislip, Chloe Dykstra from Just Cos and Holly Conrad & Jessica Merizan (better known as the geniuses behind the Mass Effect cosplay from two years ago that whipped your mind’s pants off and blew it) from the upcoming costume builder show Try This At Home. You’ll get never-before-seen sneak peeks at soon-to-be-airing shows, and a probably-seen-before Doctor Who mash-up t-shirt worn by the moderator–me, Chris Hardwick. Bring your mouths and use them to pose questions!

2:30-5p – Warner Bros/Legendary panel, Hall H – This is a whopper. I’ll be moderating Q&A for a variety of films including Pacific Rim, Man of Steel and The Hobbit, with some folks you may have heard of called Guillermo Del Toro, Zack Snyder and Peter Jackson. Also, it’s SDCC, so there will probably be some groin-grabbingly good surprises.

12:30-1:30 – Doctor Who, Hall H – What a way to cap off the Con! I’ll be fielding Qs and fostering As with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill IN ADDITION TO Steven Moffat (who also made Sherlock) and EP Caroline Skinner. How the shit did I get so lucky???

And that, my friends, is THAT. Greatly looking forward to all of the goodness of Nerd Narnia so make sure and say hey! #PHEW

  7. Nikki says:

Sounds awesome!!! I hope you Jonah and Matt have a great time!

Any chance you’ll be going to Fan Expo in Toronto at the end of August? John Barrowman and Norman Reedus will be there!

  8. Nix says:

So… what I get from this is Chris “IS” SDCC…

and really, as if I wasn’t excited enough for all things Hobbit at the Warner Bro… Hardwick just had to be thrown into the mix.

  9. Jake says:

You are so totally going to lose your voice after the second day. My advice, don’t talk in between all the stuff your doing. Conserve that precious throat box of yours.

  10. Alex says:

I imagine Chris wrote this in a single breath.

  11. Patty Marvel says:

Sweet Cthulu, Chris! I was reading this and wondering, “When does that man SLEEP” and then I see “8:00 – Hardwick sleep.” Okay, that’s ONE day…

Is it true Tom Baker is coming back to Dr. Who for at least one episode? My Whovian Hubby swears he read that somewhere and I want to check the validity of that info with someone who probably knows a thing or two about Who. So what’s the poop? Or do I have to wait until after that panel on Sunday for confirmation?

  12. Mike C. says:

I hope you have a blast! What are the chances that we will hear some of the non-Nerdist, Chris-moderated panels as podcasts in the near-future?

  13. Brian E. says:

Have an awesome time Big C!
