Scully is Concerned in X-FILES Finale Clip

Milton Berle always extolled the virtues of leaving people wanting more, but I’m not sure he realized how true that sentiment is in the case of The X-Files‘ 10th season. After so much build-up and excitement and wonder leading up to the premiere, we’re already almost done with the six episode mini-return. Maybe this will convince everybody to come back and do a few more of these little seasons. I hope. It feels like we barely got started. At any rate, this Monday’s episode, “My Struggle II,” will finish off the season by returning to the conspiracy plotline from the premiere, and see the return of Joel McHale as the shock TV host who seems to have knowledge that things are not good.

In the above clip, Agent Scully (Gillian Anderson) enters Mulder’s office to find him gone and with McHale’s show on the computer, claiming that every single human on Earth now has alien DNA in their system. This is apparently extra shocking to Scully who seems to remember something. (If anybody saw the Super Bowl teaser Fox did a couple weeks ago, you’ll probably know Scully’s more than meets the eye.) And isn’t it always weird when you’re watching a creepy conspiracy video full of hate-speech and the guy from the video calls you? Boy, so strange.

The finale will see the return not only of McHale, but of Lauren Ambrose and Robbie Amell as the younger counterparts, Agents Einstein and Miller, and also – sort of shockingly – Annabeth Gish as Agent Monica Reyes, who was a series regular for season 9 back in 2001-2002. Lots of shiz is going to go down folks!

What do you think will happen in the finale? How will Mulder and Scully’s oft-mentioned son, William, factor in? Let us know in the comments below!
