This negative stuff about Vanessa is beyond ridiculous.  Yes, it’s true, her voice does have a cadence that makes it sound like she’s a little buzzed, and you know what, maybe she is sometimes.  I have no idea either way.  So what?  Doug Benson (whom I also love) does all of his shows high as a kite, and he’s celebrated for it.  Why does she get all of this judgement (hint: it rhymes with “bender”)?  It’s a comedy podcast, consisting of fun, light-hearted conversation.  Why the heck shouldn’t she be loose and silly and have fun? It’s what makes the podcast funny and entertaining.
I hate having to “jump to the defense” like this, but somebody’s gotta put some positive words out into the mix.  Vanessa, Cole, don’t start thinking that there are more people out there against you than for you.  It’s just that those people tend to comment more because they’re the kind of a$$holes who think that every opinion they have is the fracking word of God.  They’re wrong about that, they’re wrong about you, and they’re vastly outnumbered  by the people who love your show and everything about it… except that one time when David Wain was chewing on mic, that was horrible.  But everything else, awesome.

  2. Super fun talk with M. Showalter. Thanks so much guys! Also, I really hope people stop leaving mean-spirited comments about Vanessa. I really don’t understand why that is happening but I think she’s really funny and smart, and Cole ain’t bad either 🙂
