No One Knows Chris Pratt in BILLY ON THE STREET

Pardon me for going all Chris Traeger on the people of New York, but I *literally* don’t know how you couldn’t recognize Chris Pratt. Billy Eichner’s hilarious Billy on the Street just started its fourth season after moving from Fuse to TruTV, and the lineup of guests for the rest of the season is great. Next week, Billy’s guest is none other than one of his old Parks and Recreation comrade, Chris Pratt. Since his time as Pawnee’s most lovable musician/idiot/former-pit-dweller, Pratt has gone on to star in two of the biggest movies of the last two years.

His star turn in Guardians of the Galaxy humanized the roguish Peter “Starlord” Quill, and he tamed a pack of freaking raptors in Jurassic World. Both movies blew the box office wide open, so the notion that there would be people walking the streets of New York who didn’t at least recognize his face is almost unbelievable. Almost.

Billy on the Street managed to find not one, not two, but at least 10 folks who couldn’t recognize the actor. One of the attempts at least came close. “Chris Evans” was the response of one ambushed contestant, and quite frankly, the sheer number of white actors named Chris invading all of the leading roles — Hemsworth, Pine, Evans, Pratt — makes the confusion forgivable. But have these people no shame!? I get that there’s more than a handful of worldwide crises, but know your Chrises, people!

You can catch Billy Eichner in Billy on the Street on TruTV every Thursday at 10:30 pm, and in Hulu’s original series Difficult People. Chris Pratt will be seen in both the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World sequels, in addition to the upcoming The Magnificent Seven remake.
