  1. David says:

I really like Chris and the gang and I listen to every episode of Nerdist, but man, this is probably the only time a podcast has made me viscerally angry. I started to lose it when a self-proclaimed car nerd said that tech details about cars are “so boring,” rolled my eyes uncontrollably when Spike started going off about how your car is all about your image or some vapid crap, couldn’t stop ugh-ing when he said FWD cars are no good in the snow, and shut the damn thing off when he said he bought a “Lincoln Cougar XR-7” before I threw my phone against a wall. A Lincoln Cougar, eh, car nerd? That’s a rare find. Jesus Mortimer Christ. You’re not a car nerd, Spike, you’re a Grade-A asshole. Spend less time listening to pedigree collector pricks like Seinfeld, Letterman, and Leno, learn some car control, and maybe learn what’s under the hood instead of jerking off to an Aston Martin’s fender lines and, blah, “coachwork,” for once. God fucking dammit. I can’t believe I’m actually this internet commentor right now. For Christ’s sake, I’m actually on the internet calling out some dude’s NERD CRED. I hate what you’ve made me, Spike, and I hate you for it. Perhaps nothing has ever made as angry as the idea of this guy (THIS GUY!) having a show about cars. Just, ugh.

    • Terry says:

Might make you angry…..but he does have a show.  And you?  Lighten up Francis, it’s entertainment.

    • buddydave says:

You’re very right to hate yourself. You’re doing the Internet equivalent of kicking sand in someone’s face, and it’s obnoxious.

  2. Leann says:

Guess I am an exception to the i8 observation…   I am female and I think that car looks awesome.  I do think my taste in cars differs from most women, though, so I may just prove their theory.  🙂

  3. Kate says:

This was great, I can’t wait to see the car show. That Bill Murray story was so sad! And YAY to old Mercedes talk! My first car was a 1985 Mercedes 300SD in 2004. There’s something about the smell of diesel and old leather… So. Good.

  4. English Dave says:

We hear about it all the time. From you. And it’s bloody tedious. You deem yourself important enough to be addressed on a podcast? For what? Being an annoying twat? “A load of sound and fury, signifying nothing…” to misquote a great man.

    Now fakk off!

You need to get a life in the worst way.
