  1. You guys do realize that HardwickSucks is just Aukerman in cahoots with Chris, right?

    • Josh says:

It’s a comments board conspiracy! Are you sure it’s not Mira? I think maybe it’s Matt Mira, hungry for more hostfuls…

  2. Dustin says:

Anybody else not seeing this episode in iTunes?

    • Dustin says:

Never mind. Just unsubscribed and resubscribed and that took care of it. Was also missing last Friday’s episode. Now I have some catching up to do! 🙂

  3. St says:

Chris’ random need to badmouth certain celebrities is immature and totally against the nice guy persona he’s tried to build up. It’s just not classy to talk badly about another human to hundreds of thousands of people when they aren’t there to defend themself. Seems pretty simple.

  4. Joe says:

Don’t leave negative comments? Seriously?  Some days, you nerds really disappoint me.

  5. Josh says:

Hi all, So I’m pretty sure this “HardwickSucks” guy is a stalker. He’s on the comment boards for Jemaine Clements episode last week as well. If you take a look, he has a different side avatar for every comment, which means one of two things: Either there is a team of trolls who have decided to gang up on ol’ CH, or one guy has gone through some effort to be sure and not get blocked from these comment boards. My vote is that one guy has gone through that effort. Either way, I think we’re all probably best off ignoring this guy. There’s clearly something a little disturbed going on here.We love ya CH! Normal people leave normal comments. Yay normal people!!

    • Josh says:

@HardwickSucks I’ll give you this: you are definitely one interesting character. I respect your honesty. And listen, I’m totally into seeking opportunities for catharsis. And I’m willing to accept your challenge to go ahead and ignore your comments from here on out. I’m wondering if you might be willing to, given that your comments clearly bother people, and that this space can be important for people, and that you have now made your opinions known, make this episode the last that you comment on as “HardwickSucks” as well as express these types of negative opinions? Also, we all have our issues! I mean, I’m the weirdo responding to you here. What does that say about me?? Good luck with your struggle toward normalcy. God knows I’ve got a long way to go with mine. (c:

You say you’re not trolling, yet your username is “HardwickSucks”? That’s deliberately provocative and you clearly want him to see your comments. You want attention, and you want an argument. Constructive criticism is one thing, but the personal nature of your comments and the obsessive manner in which you’re expressing them betrays your true intention, which is clearly to be a shit-stirrer. You tell us to ignore your comments, but perhaps you should avoid the podcast if it causes you such deep, personal anguish. You have the option not to listen, but if you continue to do so at your own apparent detriment then you’ll get little tolerance round here. We get it, you hate him, move on because it’s already getting old.

You are certainly entitled to have an opinion.  That being said, no one has the “right” to express an opinion that publicly defames an individual.  Having opposing views all fleshed out on a comment thread is a great thing.  It can spark insightful debate.  For the most part, the conversation spawned from your post is rather civil, so props for that.  I suppose my only suggestion would be to approach your criticism with a little more class and objectivity.  Someone commented below and shared a similar thought to you.

There is a level of tact in this comment that expresses a strong and unpopular opinion without appearing demeaning.  Comments like yours mendicate for attention (which is why people call you a “troll”) since they are filled with subjectivity and an obvious bias, which is fine to have, but wrong to express if you really want to get your point across and have people agree with you.
Also, catharsis is over-rated.  Live in the moment my friend.  If you find Hardwick disingenuous and unbearable, by all means, share your thoughts!  And do so with the intention of swaying people to your side of the argument.  I’m simply suggesting you alter your argumentative process.  Bring up points that require a defense to argue against, rather than a deflection.

I think you may have forgotten to take your medication today, little guy.
