Science Explains Why Your Cat Keeps Knocking Stuff Over

  1. Rick Slater says:

Is it just me or did he describe wanting to be in Walking Dead? At about 50 minutes he describes wanting to do something that sounds an awful lot like WD. And how did Chris not pick up on it? Maybe he was fishing for a hook up. Awesome podcast Chris!

  2. Shane says:

Richard Madden is my absolute hero. So charming he is. I hope he coms on more.

  3. Hudson Faber says:

I’m so glad I found this! Great podcast!

  4. HeathRobots says:

This podcast had it all; destroying Venice with paintballs, nudity, drafty castles with substandard wifi, and father/son bonding. Thankfully, these are all separate topics. Really enjoyed it. A++++

  5. Aaron says:

Seems like a missed opportunity to not talk more about voice acting for video games, being that Richard is such a fan of both video games and radio dramas.

But this was a fantastic podcast. So many questions! Well rounded dialogue and you really kept him on his toes. You even hit him with one he’d never thought about and brought up repressed memories. You’re the Barbara Walters of the podcast world!!

  6. sm says:

    I loved this one.

Someone needs to make a comic of Chris in a castle yelling about the WiFi.

  7. Richard has the cutest laugh I’ve ever heard. It’s like an adorable baby laugh coming from a man.

  8. Kathy D says:

Already squee’d over Twitter, but thas before even listening to the ‘cast. So, even though I’m more a Jon Snow (Targarean!) supporter than a Robb Stark-er, really an awesome listen — listening a second time right now.
Oh come on, I can’t be the only one who’s figured out Jon and Robb are actually cousins? The secret Ned promised his sister he’d take to his grave?

  9. K.C. says:

I really love hearing the part right after they “sign off” and keep chatting, it seems almost every time you hear the guest, particularly those who haven’t done a podcast before say something like. “This is so much better than an interview.”

That’s gotta feel great to hear if you’re Chris.

  10. boB says:

Great podcast… though I’m surprised the conversation never took a Jenna-Louise Coleman direction at any point, what with you being so close with the Doctor Who cast.

  11. Greg Widule says:

Hey Chris, really loved this podcast. Richard seems like a genuinely nice guy, something refreshing to hear in an age where celebrities are terrible role models. I love that this podcasts asks questions pertaining to the person’s life rather than the stereotypical questions that we’ve all already heard. Thanks! Greg

  12. Glenda says:

I loved Richard’s observation about accents matching landscapes!! What a thoroughly enjoyable podcast. Great conversation between you and Richard, Chris.

  13. Steve Black says:

That was a great podcast. Richard has a great laugh. It’s pretty infectious. Just hearing him laugh was making me laugh.

  14. Megan says:

I do not usually post, and by “not usually” I mean this is my first comment ever on Nerdist, not because I don’t like the podcast (I have listened to every one of them so obviously I do) I am just not the kind to comment on super public things on the internet. Unlike you I am afraid of backlash from strangers.

Anyway, that being said, this was an amazing episode. So great! And I have to say that it is such a huge testament to you that you have so many guests compliment you on your ability to deliver an interview. They always talk about how great and different talking to you is than the others they have had to do. These people have to put up with so much and everyone has such a great time talking to you, Chris.

Way to be kickass at your job!

  15. Nikki says:

    @Tanya, yes – a Richard Madden only podcast ;p

  16. Tanya says:

Great podcast, but it would have been even better if you’d just let Richard speak non-stop about anything he wanted to the entire time, so we could have all just listened to his Scottish accent. 🙂 More GoT guests in future podcasts would be great, I agree!

  17. Nikki says:

/fangirling over [never] twitching with excitement

  18. erik2690 says:

Really enjoyed the episode as usual. Richard seems like a pretty awesome guy. Thanks.

  19. Del says:

I love your guys’ podcast, but this is the first time where I got downright giddy when I saw who the guest was! Need more GoT guests! 🙂

  20. boB says:

@Signorepuma: Canada is in North America 🙂

  21. Christopher says:

Oh yeah, well can you believe my mom rose from the grave and mined over 1,000 Bitcoins by telepathically asking me to post comments on popular message boards, comment pages, BBSes, and Flickr pictrs when I should’ve been taking my meds?

No? Well then…I’m taking my mostly new red Mercedes E-Class Convertible and driving over Rosie Connelly’s laptop with it. Neener neener.

  22. GooseGanja says:

Can you believe my mom made over 500 dollars last week getting on popular message boards/comment pages and spamming the shit out of it with pointless meaningless fucking advertisements like a digital crackwhore? … BTW great show guys thanks 🙂

  23. Paco Siffredi says:

Goddammit Rosie, now look what ya did.
If you knew anything, you’d know Hardwicks a Jaguar man.
    tsk tsk…

  24. Signorepuma says:

American history?! Dawson City is in the Yukon Territory…in Canada! Mind you, a Stark WOULD confuse the north as all the same. 😉

  25. Mccrackelz says:

    “I was a fat kid.”
    uh, huh…

“there was this thing called the playstation”

    keep going…

    “Crash bandicoot-”

I did not listen to this podcast to hear about my 4th grade self! That was terrifying.

  26. Daniel P says:

Tom Robbins has a good bit in Still Life With Woodpecker about geography-influenced languages and accents. Pretty cool.

  27. Jen says:

How about making the Fringe Festival 2014 as your first live international podcast?

  28. Chris Hardwick says:

@RosieConnelly THANK YOU for being a fan! Hope all is well. Oh and please tell your Aunt Alice to go fuck herself in the asshole with that red Mercedes E-Class. From what I know about her, that shouldn’t be a problem! LOL but really suck it.

  29. Sharky says:

This was a fun podcast. Thank you!

  30. Wildride says:

So, wait — I’m a projection of your fantasies? I mean, I always knew I was fictional, but why the hell are you projecting me? Stop it!

  31. Rosie Connelly says:

my Aunty Alice just got a nearly new red Mercedes E-Class Convertible by working part-time from a laptop… website here… WWW.FB39.COM

  32. Rosie Connelly says:

like Alfred answered I cannot believe that a stay at home mom able to get paid $6938 in four weeks on the internet. Get the facts… http://WWW.TeC80.COⅯ

  33. slappy says:

    The King of the North!

  34. alanso says:

Excellent, on the day that the trailer for Season 4 is released, its almost like you planned it!

I hope there’s talk of Scottish castles etc
