Your duet brought me to a difficult, yet beautiful place in my memory. When I was a kid I would fall asleep listening to the Muppet Movie soundtrack. I was so afraid of the dark. Afraid of the mystery of death, heaven, what else could be out there. That song makes it all okay. It is okay to wonder and not know all the answers.

  2. whisperawr says:

What an amazing episode.  Thank you.

  3. Electronicah says:

I was very uplifted by the positive messages in this podcast. Thank you (and your guests) for sharing about your alcoholic experiences. Your honest, kind heart makes people see that alcoholics are real people instead of stereotypes and thus the cultural issue becomes one we can discuss openly and address instead of ridiculing or dismissing in judgement or shame.

I <3 Chris Hardwick! (and Paul Williams!)

  4. Chris Stuart says:

WOW – I’m behind on my Nerdist Podcast listening, but I had to comment on this one I just listened to today. This was very moving. I learned even more about Paul Williams — on this his 2nd time on the podcast. Thank you so much for this Chris. It was so touching to listen in on the friendship that you and Paul have grown. Thanks!

  5. Worlitz says:

Nothing about his voice acting work as The Penguin in Batman: The Animated Series?! COME OOONNNN!!! >=|

  6. Zach says:

Chris, thank you so much for sharing this episode. Weirdly enough, the last 10 minutes of this episode were some of the most powerful moments in a podcast I’ve ever heard.

  7. Andy says:

54 years old listening to this at work and I’m sure my coworkers think I’m having a breakdown (maybe I am). I’ve been fighting back tears through this whole episode

  8. Olivine says:

That was such a beautiful, inspiring, hopeful conversation that I even tried to share it with my parents. We have addiction in our family and its so awesome (in the awe-inspiring meaning of the word) to hear successful, happy people talk about their demons and their path to peace. so so so lovely. Thank you.

  9. Steve says:

I can’t think of an episode I disliked as much as this one. Enough of the spiritual bullshit.

  10. Donna says:

And now I’m bawling like a baby. Thank you for this!

  11. Melanie says:

Chris Hardwick, THANK YOU! You are truly a gift and this second podcast with Paul Williams was proof of it.

  12. Tony says:

The last 10 minutes of this episode completely blew me away. I’ve had many favorite episodes before this one, but now I can’t even think of one that stands up to it. I’ve decided that “I’m Going To Go Back There Some Day” will be the song I sing to my daughter for bedtime from now on.

  13. Dennis Beatty says:

I Want To Go Back There Someday is not just my favorite song from the Muppet Movie, it is one of my favorite signs of ALL TIME.
