Science Explains Why Your Cat Keeps Knocking Stuff Over

  1. PsychoWedge says:

The very first time I heard of Dave Attell was on O&A the day after Patrice died and they had the big memorial show with a dozen people or so. He came in and said one of the greatest lines ever, which was preceded a rant about how so many people love him on twitter now that he’s dead but never went to his shows, followed by “Yeah, everybody loves him for free. We got a purple suit to buy and a gigantic coffin, alright. Let’s make things happen!”

I’ve been a fan ever since.

  2. Sun123 says:

Attell’s material has long been the best and Comic Underground *IS* a great show, be better with more Attell banter.

He’s simply THE funniest and funnest guy to listen to when hes chatting it up like on podcasts or interviews or better, on Old Porn and Insomniac.

The one comic who style would make him that best at his own podcast is probably least likely to do one – his detachment from online media and bit too famous, no offense intended – he’s personable as hell, met him at two of his shows

Even just a week, heck once ever two weeks – couldnt you get him to do his own pod here Chris? Maybe he could be lured with a comic friend as a cohost.

BTW Midnight is still killing – glad its looking long-term.

  3. LJ says:

Man! I grew up on Dave Attell. And, I’m not really that young. Other than the often-hacky ComicView back in the day, Dave was my first introduction to smart blue comedy. Jokes aside about not being good, I hope he gets his influence.
On another note, Jonah’s restraint is awesome.

  4. whirlaway says:

Jonah- Millennials are after 1980. Ask Pew Research.

  5. I love Attell’s work! I used to really dig the Insomniac show back then. I’m proud of him for his sex change operation. He’s very brave!

  6. Wildride says:

Yeah, comedy’s just like music: You shouldn’t get into it to get rich, or get famous, or whatever — You should get into it to get laid.  You know: For the love of the craft.

  7. Rebecca says:

Coincidentally, I’ve been working my way backwards and am currently listening to the first Dave Attell, which was fantastic. Can’t wait to listen to this one.
