Science Explains Why Your Cat Keeps Knocking Stuff Over

  1. Drakeo says:

this was a sweet episode,I wish it was a bit longer but so well done!

    good job,chris!

  2. Cassi says:

    Loved this!

Regarding your SF show dates at Cobb’s, are those dates sold out or just not available for purchase at the moment?

  3. JetpackBlues says:

Great interview! Such a deep well of stories that I hope Mr. Crystal comes back. Maybe even a three-peat?

I would love to hear you guys interview Robin, although I anticipate it being a 4-way riff crossing.

  4. littlegraysheep says:

I usually sometimes comment when a podcast is good!

Hey, do ya think you could get Tim Curry ?

  5. Leon says:

Wow, that was just a straight-up delight. The De Niro cereal bit had me in stitches. Awesome work guys.

  6. chris hardwick says:

@KevinCV: I’ll definitely work on getting Robin!

  7. KevinCV says:

This is my first comment on this site, despite being an avid listener. This is the first podcast since the one you did with Rob Paulsen and Maurice Lamarche where I immediately began listening to it a second time after finishing the first listen because it was such a joy to listen to.

If you could somehow get Robin Williams to come on the podcast, I’d be a very happy man. Maybe have his daughter Zelda come on as well to reign him in a bit. Keep up the brilliant work, fellas!

  8. Paul says:

I was dying when he told the bit about his “call” from Reagan.

  9. karlhungusjr says:

You should have let him know that he looks marvelous.

  10. chris hardwick says:

@Luke: thank you! it still blows me away that we get to hang out with and pick the brains of so many folks who were influential to us.

  11. Luke says:

It’s wonderful to hear a long form interview with a legend like Mr. Crystal where there’s the opportunity to speak openly and passionately about craft and career without the pressure to be constantly hilarious. Your approach here is a refreshing respite from the contrived and shallow nature of most media today.

    Great work.

  12. Trevor Green says:

“This is my first podcast, and it’s not with Mark Maron.”

Was that the tip? That one is vibrating in me.

  13. Boreal Scarpper says:

Yeah! Call it quits Hardwick! Time to hang up the scrapper. This birreel is all scropped out!

  14. Rob B says:

Billy Crystal? P’shaw! Talk about scarping the burrel…

  15. Kevin says:

Awesome dig on Maron at the end!!!

  16. timgen says:

This one went by too fast. Great show

  17. Malaska says:

Great stuff, Chris & crew. I remember when Kareem Abdul Jabbar retired and there was a TV special, kind of tribute/roast. Billy Crystal knew Kareem when they were in high school and did this great 8 minutes on their relationship. I still remember him saying one guy “was so big, there was an actual guy on the crucifix around his neck!” Now, he was sorta mentored by Cosby? Man, BC knew *everyone!*

  18. Three Toes of Fury says:

AHHH!!! @Mark…thanks for the heads up!!! Hodgman is brilliant.

    @ChrisHardwick….AHHHHH!!! cant wait for @midnight!!!!

@MiracleMax…he said “tooo blatheeee” nothing left to do but go through his pockets for loose change.

  19. amysrevenge says:

I really enjoyed this one. Good stuff.

  20. mark says:

    ……you guys are the best.

  21. Chris Hardwick says:

@Mark we’re shooting something with Hodgman for it!

  22. mark says:

I hold that Running Scared is the best buddy cop movie ever made. Great guest par the course for this show.

As a sidenote, not sure where to post this but John Hodgman (all time great nerdist guest) is premiering his comedy special on netflix today. Be cool to see it mentioned on nerdist front page. He is so damn funny and the netflix viewership numbers actually do matter.

    Great work, thanks.

  23. Miracle Max says:

Billy Crystal! This is the most amazing thing ever!

Except for a nice MLT. Mutton, lettuce, and tomato, where the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe. They’re so perky. I love that.
