Who Is the Secret Cameo in DEADPOOL 2?

  1. mishka says:

Whhhhy so many dudes talking??? I love these ladies. Theyre incredible. Interview them!!! Ugh.

  2. Kristin says:

I know, I know — don’t complain about free sh!t, but this episode was pretty disappointing. I love Broad City and think that Abbi and Ilana are hilarious. I felt like they were kept to the periphery during this “interview,” which was really them just trying to hang while the three hosts talked to each other. Abbi and Ilana’s jokes were often talked over. I would have loved to hear more about their story. It felt like the hosts forgot they were in the room for at least half of the time. Bummer.

  3. Casey says:

As some one who lives by Peoria, IL that was weird hearing it on Nerdist…….

  4. Awesome interview! I know you can’t be omniscient, I Just wanted to note that their web show, also called Broad City, is very good guerilla comedy and very much in the same vein as the show. The show rocks, I want all my friends to get into it.

  5. Caroline says:

I’d love to catch an episode of MirApartment

  6. Brad says:

I’ve been watching Broad City and have been thoroughly impressed. The show is always good for some genuine laughs. (I say that as someone who was irrationally skeptical going into it.)

Could you have Abbi and Ilana on the podcast sometime? I believe they were scheduled for this episode but for some reason it was only the Nerdist guys talking amongst themselves.

  7. sfgd says:

I felt for the first time there were way too many people talking at once and it was too unfocused. But keep up the good work just wanted to let you know.

  8. Alec says:

Matt’s similarity to Eugene Mirman is just one more reason why he should sneak in for an episode of Star Talk.

  9. Darth V-v says:

Or maybe he was showing off for the ladies. What the hell do I know.

  10. Darth V-v says:

    @Unicorn barfight
As a host, Hardwick’s a professional chameleon. He’s whatever he estimates his show/guest/host object is. If he was interviewing Kevin Spacey, I doubt he’d be talking about pussies or his rad bike tricks. That’s what makes him a talented host.

  11. Listener since summer of ’13, first time commenter. I just felt this had to be said. This is the first time I feel the casual hang out session that usually works so well with Nerdist reach its limits. Usually, you guys are amazing conversationalists equipped with tools that’ll reach to the deep end of the pop culture reference pool. This time there were far too many sex jokes as opposed to actual discussion. The broads of broad city are soooooo fudging funny. They’re also largely unheard of. I’ve been following their show religiously and when I saw that they were the episode I was so thrilled. Two of my favorite comedy groups merging right before my ears. Upon finishing though, there was a huge part of me that went “is this it? Is this all?” The sex jokes are great for the hostfuls (which I love, especially the late ones were you really dig deep and share your feelings on love, sex, your careers etc) but I feel this episode could’ve enjoyed some of that sweet interview magic. What happened to keeping the conversation on track, Chris? What happened to getting to know the guests? This was far to shallow for my taste. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m still loving the podcast and I know it’s free and I appreciate everything about that. I’m not unsubscribing, and I won’t hate on you. I just wanted to point out that you can do better.

    Ok love you guuuuuys xoxoxoxo

  12. Jessica says:

Holy Crap Chris Hardwick! Not that you care, but that story you told about your collar bone, something very similar happened to me.

I fell and broke my ankle (long ass story in and of itself) and my dad thought I was trying to milk it so he kept telling me to “walk it off”. The guilt still lingers for him on that one- especially since my entire family now think it’s hilarious to tell him to “walk it off” when he’s complaining about something.

  13. The Internet says:

Yes Stephen, this was my intent.

Sorry, Weebee. I just wanted to play, too. Next time I’ll put a smiley face or something to make my intentions clearer.

  14. ariel says:

was really excited to listen to this but then 75% of it was just chris and matt talking about themselves

  15. Diana says:

I appreciate the introduction of these ladies into my life. I am watching the two Broad City episodes that are up on Hulu Plus on loop. This show is golden.

  16. Saw these girls on @midnight, and now this podcast… yup, definitely checking out Broad City tonight.

  17. Nate E. says:

Abbi and Ilana were great. I’ll check out Broad City… I swear.

Craig Rowin, you sound like T.J. Miller. That’s a good thing.

  18. Stephen says:

I don’t think that guy was heckling you. “Go home, you’re drunk” is a common, humorous way of saying that you are acting strange. Which you were. On purpose.

  19. Weebee says:

@The dumbass who comment heckled me – Please put more effort into your insulting replies to my non-sense moving forward.

Not drunk, just bored and lacking self control. I doubt you will read this thread, but if you do Abbi or Ilana please forgive me for being a mo-ron. I think you are delightful and hilarious.

  20. Tyler says:

Thanks to everyone involved for this awesome podcast. I watched the premiere episode of Broad City almost on a lark. By the end of it, I was all in, one of the best new comedies I’ve seen in years. Abbi and Ilana are FANTASTIC, and I need more of them in my life (and by extension everyone else’s life.)

  21. The Internet says:

    Go home, Weebee. You’re drunk.

  22. Weebee says:

Aw, that is super sweet of you girls. I’ll have to decline to the kiddie pool or feces, but I will blow some babies up inside of each of you on the casual. No rings though, I saw how Big Love ended.

  23. Abbi and Ilana says:

Your comment has made our lady parts happy. We would like to invite you to engage in a sexual encounter with the two of us. Please provide a kiddie pool for you to lay in while we layer our excrement on your completely naked body. You can look at our b-holes but not our vaginas during the act. If this goes well we will consider you as a potential candidate for the role of husband in our polygamist marriage. xoxo

  24. Weebee says:

First off… Broad City is SO good. It feels fresher than a recently douched vaheena. Great work you lovely ladies, and thank god Hannibal is on a show that really allows him to be him. It’s like the opposite of the show “Dads” which seems very stale and makes me like two fantastic actors less.

Second off… I feel like Chris’s “friend” might have been fat drunk Peter Hardwick that threw a dick up inside Liza.

Third off… I feel like Wildride is hiding a rape dildo under his arm in that photo.

  25. MichaelH says:

Until the last two interviews this week, it was more a Matt-less set of shows. I think having all three on an interview might be less common for a while but Jonah and Matt still seem to be able to make interview shows despite being busy, which is cool.

  26. Matthew says:

Ok, so I know I am going to regret posting this. But anyone else feel a change coming on NERDIST (w/o Jonah). I dont want you to LEAVE!! NOOOO!!!

  27. anncoultersadamsapple says:

    Awesome. I love Broad City.

Abbi’s been turning in some of the best comedic performances anywhere on tv. Excited to hear what these girls are like on the podcast.
