Music Geek Track Of The Day: ‘Dreams’ by Boots (featuring Beyonce)

I don’t know much about this producer, Boots. His Facebook “about” section reads: “I’m everything that I’m not, most of the time.” So, let’s just call him the mysterious badass.

Yesterday, he casually posted a song to be featured on his upcoming mixtape. I read the title, Dreams (feat. Beyonce) and then I… um, what? Beyonce???

Dreams is exactly how it sounds. It’s Dreamy. It builds up to Beyonce’s portion, which erupts like a soulful volcano. He uses her voice in such a perfect way, it’s not too in-your-face, but it’s also completely flawless (because, Beyonce). The song sounds more like a jam-session that they put together on a whim one Sunday after brunch. It’s enough ammo to make us all jealous of the lullabies Blue Ivy is getting each night before bedtime. I think everyone should partake in this ear-massage. Listen below!
