Miles Morales Moves to The Marvel Universe in SPIDER-MAN # 1 Preview

The Ultimate Spider-Man is Ultimate no more! After Secret Wars, the apparent destruction of the Ultimate Universe doesn’t mean the end of Miles Morales, the teenage Spider-Man created by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. Bendis and Pichelli are reuniting for a new Spider-Man series starring Miles that takes place within the all-new Marvel Universe!

Miles is firmly in place as New York’s Spider-Man, since Peter Parker’s Spider-Man is now an international superhero of intrigue and a world-famous inventor. Miles’ problems are a bit more down to Earth as he struggles with school while trying to make time for family and his recent promotion to the All-New, All-Different Avengers.

Marvel has released a brief preview of Spider-Man # 1, which finds Miles facing a new foe as his familiar supporting cast also makes their Marvel Universe debuts. All three double page splash images can be seen in our gallery below, along with the covers by Pichelli, Michael Cho, Skottie Young, Mark Bagley, and a hip-hop variant by Adi Granov.

Today, Marvel proudly presents your look inside SPIDER-MAN #1 – the highly anticipated new series from blockbuster Miles Morales co-creators Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli! Sure, he’s been doing the super hero thing for a while now, but following the events of Secret Wars, Miles finds himself a full-fledged member of the Marvel U. Swinging next to Iron Man, Captain America and Thor as a member of the Avengers and patrolling the Big Apple’s rooftops as NYC’s own Spider-Man! But it’s not all fun and games. A lot has transpired in the eight months since Secret Wars and an entire new universe awaits him – friend and foe alike. Plus, his grades are in the toilet. The adventure begins this February in the can’t-miss SPIDER-MAN #1!

Spider-Man # 1 will go on sale in comic shops everywhere on Wednesday, February 3.
