MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #1 Preview Brings Tommy into the Fold

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s Morphin Time!

Boom! Studios’ new ongoing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book series is set to debut this week with a story set early in the history of the original team. Long time fans know that Tommy Oliver a.k.a. the Green Ranger was originally a pawn of Rita Repulsa in her scheme to destroy the Power Rangers. However, the team freed Tommy from Rita’s control and invited him to join them as the sixth Power Ranger, with an awesome Dragon Zord.

The new Power Rangers comic takes place shortly after Tommy’s defection from Rita, but with the setting updated to the modern day. And while Tommy’s new teammates are willing to forgive him, the general public still sees the Green Ranger as a threat and they won’t be letting Tommy forget what he did.
