@Midnight Recap: Paul F. Tompkins, Jon Daly, Sarah Silverman and More!

@Midnight is back! Here’s what you maybe missed this week if you were uninformed about the subtle move (for 2 whole weeks!) to 11:30pm instead of actual midnight each night.

Monday night, Chris brought Jon Daly, Nikki Glaser and Ron Funches to the stage. Much was laughed over in regards to that holiday that just passed, New Year’s Eve. Taylor Swift was at the center of discussion, and Chris sent presents to all his comedian friends in an effort to be more like her. #EdibleGeography really just made us hungry. And what better way to start out 2015 than by making fun of children?

Tom Lennon, Paul F. Tompkins and Paget Brewster brought the funny on Tuesday night. There were cat-like police officers, #HollywoodBooks in honor of pal Patton Oswalt‘s new book, Silver Screen Fiend: Learning About Life From An Addiction To Film, and so much more. But this is the internet, and cats rule the internet, right? So here’s the feline-centric game of the night! *clink*

Congress kicked off a new session this week, and since politicians provide such wonderful comedic fodder, they made a few appearances in Wednesday night’s show. Andy Daly, Brett Gelman and Paul Scheer took to the stage and brought some serious #AddAPunRuinAPun fun to their run. The Price Is Right was given an Ebay update for points, and Chris did a disturbingly accurate impression of Bob Barker. And we learned the value of a kangaroo scrotum.

On Thursday night the hilarious Sarah Silverman, Steve Agee and Scott Aukerman joined Chris on the fancy new show stage to discuss self-adjusting belts and how well Friends holds up in 2015. It is on Netflix now, you know? They also took the time to #MakeAMovieSmarter for Hollywood because we should all be resolving to try harder in the new year. They also translated a few things. For anyone who doesn’t speak emoji, it was downright enlightening.

Don’t forget to follow @midnight on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Tumblr to catch all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans. We noticed quite a few awesome videos going up this week, so if you haven’t wandered over there and hit those follow buttons yet, get on it!
