The Extended Trailer for the LORE TV Show Proves Reality is More Terrifying Than Fiction

The Extended Trailer for the LORE TV Show Proves Reality is More Terrifying Than Fiction

The first episode of Aaron Mahkne’s podcast, Lore, was released back in March of 2015. Since that time, the show has grown from a quirky favorite with a cult following to an all-out megahit. Lore isn’t just a podcast anymore. With a book and an Amazon Prime show releasing this October, Mahnke’s stories of real-life horror are about to be the show we all talk about. While fans of the podcast may have worried that taking a narrated show into the realm of television would cause Lore to lose some of its magic and eeriness, the first full trailer for Amazon Prime’s Lore should ease your concerns. Take a look:

For those unfamiliar with the podcast–seriously, you’ve got to listen to the podcast–Lore is about real stories of horror and fear. Mahnke does a great job of blending actual stories from history with the tales and urban legends spawned from those events. It’s a must-listen to any fan of horror and legends, and from the looks of the trailer the show will be just as compelling.

Blending documentary footage and mixed media (and Mahnke’s classic narration), the Lore TV show is going to bring a new level to Mahnke’s stories. Plus, with the executive producers from The Walking Dead and The X-Files behind this show, you know the spooky spirit of the podcast is only going to be enhanced in the jump to the small screen.

The show will (appropriately) premiere on Amazon Prime on Friday, October 13, and contains six episodes. The stories will tackle things like werewolves, lobotomies, spirits, and one creepy-ass doll named Robert. Whether you’re new to the Lore fandom or you’ve been listening since episode one of the podcast, this show is one you can’t miss.

What do you think of the trailer? Are you excited to see the show, or do you prefer it in podcast form? What other Lore stories would you like to see brought to the TV show? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
