Hardwatch: Week of May 9th, 2016

It’s Mother’s Day, and while I’m still here to tell you all the great places you can find Chris Hardwick this week, I’m also going to remind you that his mom, Sharon, has been a part of his story, literally, since the beginning. She’s also provided some amazing stories and appearances on his podcast and @midnight. You probably should follow her on Twitter because she is a constant source of happy internet-ness. Also, maybe give another listen to the podcast’s fifth anniversary show because she is a delight on it.

Now down to business. In case you weren’t aware, @midnight just actually reached its 400th episode which is pretty awesome. Check out what they got for Chris:

This week you can catch four new episodes of the show for some laughs. Jake Hurwitz, Amir Blumenfeld, and Kate Micucci will be on Monday night. James Adomian, Hari Kondabolu, and Marc Maron take the stage Tuesday. Riki Lindhome, Rory Scovel, and Jen Kirkman will be the guests Wednesday night, and the week will wrap up with the Sklar brothers facing off with Jon Dore.

Tonight you can catch a new episode of Talking Dead where Chris will talk with Alycia Debnam-Carey and two surprise cast members from Fear the Walking Dead about the new episode, “Captive”. Some cool fan art is supposed to be on display, so I hope you got your submissions in!

There’s also a pretty awesome new episode of Nerdist Podcast going up. The legendary actress and director Jodie Foster will be the guest. She really does not do a ton of interviews, so this it’s going to be really special when she sits down with Chris to talk work, her mom’s influence, and what it was like to go from child actor to adult. And of course they talk about her new movie Money Monster, starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, which opens this week. Definitely make sure you download this one.

Finally, in case you hadn’t heard, Chris is gearing up to go on the road again. From what he’s said on podcasts, the Id01t Tour will actually be done by bus for pieces and parts of it. You can find all the current dates (think East Coast and Southern California for now) over on the tour’s tumblr. We’re sure there will be more dates added in the future, but if you’re in any of these places now, grab a ticket while you can. The first date is set for June 2nd.

As always, follow Chris on Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram for his latest musings on life, art, and the rest of the internet.
