FALLOUT 4 Puts Brain over Brawn in the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Video for Intelligence

So, by this point in your mandatory, VaultTec lessons to better prepare for the Wastelands of Fallout 4, you have discovered the benefits of Strength, Perception, Endurance, and Charisma. Now, we take a look at another non-violent attribute that may save your life one day while wandering through the harsh and unforgiving place known as Boston. Be sure to take a trip back and brush up if you’ve missed any of your previous assignments, or just like to watch Vault Boy get terribly hurt over and over again.

What’s so great about being smart? Well, as Bethesda highlights in the video above, the Intelligence attribute in Fallout 4 can really bolster your capabilities in the wasteland. Not only does it allow players to get the most out of Stim Paks and other health items, but it also allows them to have an easier time hacking into computers, repairing and upgrading weapons, as well as being more capable with various technologies one may come across in their journeys. In pervious installments of the game, players have also been able to deal more damage to robotic enemies due to knowing their weak spots. In short, Intelligence is a great attribute to match with Strength and Endurance to create a dangerous Vault Dweller that can take a lot of damage, but heal easily when needed.

There are only two more letters in S.P.E.C.I.A.L. for Bethesda’s video series to explore, but once they are done, there is still about two weeks before Fallout 4 is released. So, one can only wonder what Bethesda may do in those two weeks to keep the game’s hype at maximum capacity. Let us know what you thought of the video as well as your predictions for Bethesda’s ad campaign once the series has concluded!
