Exclusive: Ingrid Michaelson Covers Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ on the Nerdist Podcast

If only it weren’t considered bad journalism to begin an article with an entire paragraph of praise hand emojis…

Our latest Nerdist Podcast guest, Ingrid Michaelson, graced us with a strikingly beautiful rendition of Radiohead’s classic single, “Creep”, and we wanted to share it with you because it is one of the best performances we’ve heard in a long time. Michaelson is a singer-songwriter of inimitable talents, so hearing her cover one of our favorite bands with her crystalline voice and her delicate ukulele strums is a treat of unearthly proportions. In the twenty-plus years “Creep” has existed in the cultural zeitgeist, it has been covered many times, but this is easily one of the best versions I’ve heard. It is simple, poignant, and Michaelson makes it completely her own.

The video, which originally streamed on Periscope, is now available for all to enjoy. After you are through watching the performance ten times over, be sure to listen our conversation with Michaelson over on the most recent episode of the Nerdist Podcast. Oh, and do you and your ears a favor and be sure to pick up the musician’s latest album, Lights Out.
